Amp comes with a real life tested rating so there's no false claims. Post-install I absolutely love this amp and will continue singing its praises. Working well so far with two 12 inch subs, a little weaker than another amp I had it seems but the speakers are now in an larger box, so I'd equate some of the bass loss to that also, but is working well and have had no issues
