I work in a rough industry where generally you need very tough boots like red wings or thorogoods. I’ve used a ton over the years and usually after 3-6 months the boots are destroyed or riddled with holes from glycol or oil and other chemicals. I’m a commercial/industrial HVAC installer and can say that these are by far the most comfortable boots I’ve worn which made me nervous at first. I’ve always been taught good boots should be uncomfortable for a while until they’re broken in. These almost have no break in period at all. Only break in I had was the heel on the left boot rubbed a little bit for about a week and ever since then they’re perfect. Also was worried about ripping the pull tabs off but as of now there is no tearing, leather looks good but I need to clean and condition them soon. Soles still have so much tread on them. The soles on these boots are like an almost transparent material seem very durable so far. They have also not stretched out like other boots I’ve had that are “slip on”. They’re nice and snug around the ankle. ****one thing to note, these are the model with the toe cap protector as I constantly have to kneel down or crawl around under equipment so it’s necessity for me. I’ll be buying another pear of these boots and possibly the mock toe model as well to see how they hold up.

I’m on my feet all day, and these boots are perfect due to how comfortable they are. Very good quality, and well worth the purchase. When these eventually wear out I’ll be buying another pair!

The first pair of boots they sent me fit differently. The left boot was noticeably larger than the right boot. I contacted rock rooster and they offered for me to try other models of boots but I asked them send me another pair of the same boot and they fit perfectly. I was disappointed that the first pair didn’t fit correctly but I am very happy they took care of me and for the past couple of weeks working construction they are holding up well.

I purchased these boots to try a different brand that was a lower price point (Redback boots is what I have worn). About 4 hours in at work and the backs of my heels were torn up by the rough, unpadded leather. Provided with the boots was an adhesive pad that, if you have tiny hands, you could stick inside the heel area. I do not have tiny hands, probably average size hands. Attempted to place one of these pads in and thought it was stuck in place, slid my foot in and it folded down on itself sticking together. Otherwise the boot as a whole appears to be of good quality and construction. Additionally it was my thinking that these were Australian made boots based on what the website says, they are intact made in China as its printed on the bottom of the boot. At the end of the day I am a believer that you get what you pay for. If you truly want a great quality slip on boot / station boot (for the fire department) go with Redback boots. ** A positive experience with Rock Rooster was with customer service. Responded promptly to my email and addressed my concerns and were able to ship out an alternate model boot that does fit and is comfortable.

Update at bottom. I have only worn these for a few weeks and so far I’m very impressed. I’m a big redback fan and I decided to try these as they are half the price. With my redbacks I also buy $60 insoles so I’m $200 or more into them but they last 1.5-2 years easy. These boots have a nice toe protector and comfortable insoles. They fit very well also. 2 things I don’t like. The soles do not appear to be ice friendly, they are very smooth, no “sipes”. I will find out soon as winter is starting to hit. Second is the heal grips that help you grip the heal of the boot when slipping them off. When I first got them I’m was very nervous about them causing blisters. Couple days of wearing them and that went away. I really hope they start making a composite toe boot again. Hopefully these will last me at least a year. Will update if i become disappointed. Update! It has been just over a year of use with these boots and I’m still happy. 2 complaints. 1 they need to make a composite toe version of the black slip on with toe cap. 2 the insoles barely made it a year. I’m very impressed on how well these have held up for the price. I’m going to try rockroosters composite toe lace up boots or the wheat colored version of the slip on.
