    • Only audio upgrade you "need" to stock harmon
Many recommend upgrading the head unit too. While it's true, you lose some power due to the speakers being 4ohm versus 2 ohm. After installing you can play these speakers at full power without distortion. The terrible speakers that come stock with the bike were distorting brutally at about 3/4 volume... If that. I would recommend you start with just the speakers since it takes about 15 minutes to install them. Take a listen out of on the road. And if it's not the sound you want, go for it! You can add an amp and a head unit and speakers to the lids of your bags. Put a sub in your bag... And you will definitely blow my bike off the road with the sound you get. I just wanted to be able to hear and clearly identify the songs I'm playing at highway speeds. I got that with just the speaker install. Much cheaper and far less hassle then upgrading and adding more components to stock. Super easy install. Watch the YouTube video posted on the Rockford Fosgate channel and you're golden. My only issue is the price seems high. But since I haven't had that chance to compare side by side to other marine grade speakers, I can't say for sure.
