The Punch P1000X2 is a 2-channel stereo amplifier capable of producing 500 Watts into each channel at 2-Ohms. The P1000X2 amplifier is great with full-range or component systems or can be bridged for use with several subwoofers. The Class A/B topology results in greater reliability and exceptional sound quality. The stealth top mounted control panel not only provides a sleek finished look to the amp, but it also protects the vital controls. Our custom heat sink design uses high aluminum mass where it is needed most to maximize heat transfer from the output MOSFETS to the surrounding air, keeping the circuitry cool even under high power and output demand. C.L.E.A.N. (Calibrated Level Eliminates Audible Noise) is our patented circuit with in/out clip LEDs to help match a source to amp and optimize output Delivers more bass where you want it most by allowing up to 18dB of boost adjustment at 45Hz The RCA inputs of this amp can accept both Hi or Low level audio signals without the need of a signal converter Built by Fanatics…For Fanatics! P1000x2 best choice!
Style: P1000X2 Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
Upgraded from a JL XD600/6 Class D amp to a pair of Rockford Fosgates P1000X2. I could hear clearer Highs and the low frequencies were less muddied and more accurate. I have a Bit 10 with a Morel Elate 3-way system BI-amped. The P1000's Class AB in my opinion are more accurate than the class D amplifier. I guess I will NEVER buy Class D amps ever again! If you are worried about heat dissipation the P1000's don't give much heat either, very warm to the touch even when blasting the stereo with both amps under the passenger and drivers seat of my Dodge charger. ... show more

Wowzers!!! This amp is a class all of its own! I had read many reviews that were 70/30 good to bad with overheating issues etc. I have had fosgate amps before, about 20+ yrs ago good then and just as AWESOME now. I have it powering 2 Rockford Fosgate Punch P1S4-15" woofers and OMG!!! The BASS this thing hits with is phenomenal...........so much better than my old 12" This sounds way better than the class D amps as it's a class ab and has the full frequency range so that i am able to use it on a wider range of speakers, has 2 channels and i didn't even need to bridge it also PLENTY of room left on the gain too!!! Also just FYI it's always better to have the extra juice to avoid trying to push the amp too hard and clip the signal/blow your speaker(s). This amp is one of the best i have ever owned and the boxes are sealed so i use a little more juice than a ported box of the same speaker size and no heat issues yet and worst case just install a fan from a computer..... ... show more

Ordered it and It came in within 3 days. That was good. But the product didn't work. I returned it and now they are dragging their feet sending me a replacement. Get this, just so happens when I ask for a replacement, all of the sudden they are moving their replacement warehouse and it's delaying them. Lol. It may be true, but I found it extremely convenient. ... show more
Reviewed in the United States on December 8, 2023 by I dont recommend. First rain after the install and they are fogged up. No matter how tight you get the screws they will bounce and vibrate while driving. Not even close to the quality of the OEM.
Great car amp.

All I can say is once I tried a Rockford 20 years ago I Never wanted any other amp. Like most premium amps it does the wattage it says and then some. Chest pounding bass If you know how to configure it . Only thing is that this amp is not one ohm stable but at 849 watts per channel @ 2ohms I don't think you may mind. ... show more

This model really bumps. Upgraded from a Prime 500 monoblock and 2 12" Punch P1's to the P1000X2 and 2 12" Punch P2's. Bumps a lot harder and even though it tells me when it's clipping nothing has happened yet. I have faith in Rockford as they have the best products for the price. Rockford all the way! Now I just need the P300X4.... ... show more

So to get right to the point I was really disappointed at first, this amp was not giving me the volume or SQ I was hoping for.. but after about a week messing with this and that and everything else in between I'm in LOVE with this amp.. it got 4 12" EV's SCREAMINGGG!! My SUV sounds like a rolling concert. SUPER LOUD AND SUPER CLEAR... SQ is top notch. Between this amp and the tone characteristics of the EV's, I seriously cannot ask for a better combination of things to come together the way they did to give me the exact sound I was looking for. It does get really warm bordering being hot, but plays great. UPDATE: To keep it short this amp sounds great, easy set up, plenty of power..BUT.. I had to replace it with a different amp.. it gets WAYYY TOO HOTT.. LIKE YOU CAN LITTERALLY FRY AN EGG ON IT. I added 9, yes 9, fans onto my amp rack to help with the heat. The fans helped alot but still got WAYYY to hot for my liking. Soo hot in fact if you left ur hand on it, it would burn you. With all this being said it only shut down on me 1 or 2 times and that was when it was 95°f or hotter out. All in all its a great amp, but gets way too hot for me to be comfortable to continue to use it. I'm sure if you wired it up to 4ohms instead of 2ohms that would help. And as long as you dont push it too hard it might not get too hot for you. ... show more
