    • Just amazing. These Mids are LOUD AND CLEAR
I paired my pair of PPS4-6 with a set of PP4-X Passive Crossovers made just for these speakers. Low pass cut off at 3k...and also has output for 4 or 8 ohm tweeters with a High Pass crossover all in one unit. You can run 2 mids and a tweeter on one crossover, but it is limited to 125Watts RMS Total so I ran 1 PPS4-6 on 1 PP4-X Crossover as I am running 104 Watts RMS to each Speaker. I mounted them on the Rear Deck. Just amazing. These Mids are LOUD AND CLEAR. Drums sound like you're stand there next to them. Bass strums are crisp. I am forever sold on these. They just bark all day long! I paired these with a 300 Watt RMS 12" Powered Sealed Enclousure in the trunk and a pair of Kicker 3.5" 75 Watt RMS front door speakers. Thoroughly Impressive Daily Driver. Word of advice. At first trial I was a bit disapointed. Didn't sound good at higher volumes. I did some research and learned to tune my amplifier properly. Night and day difference. No distortion and a noticable cleaner and louder output. I recommed these speakers to anyone looking for a modest system upgrade at an affordable price. I do not recomend these as stand alone speakers as they are a little pricy for this application and really need 100 Watts RMS and Low Pass cut off at 4k or less to boogie. The media could not be loaded. I bought these to replace some other 6.5 speakers that weren't giving me the mid-bass I was needing OMG I got what I was looking for these things really rock and give me system that sound I've been work for. They still need time to break in and get better but wow holy WOW so far I'm running them at 80hz and feeding them 200watts each . These things pound if you're thinking about getting these stop thinking and just do it you won't be sorry. Only bad was the speaker terminals are very small I had to trim down my wire to fit. Update 1/22/20 It's been awhile now and I have broken these in and let Me tell you people think my subs are playing when it's just my doors I have 2 in each front door with tweeters and 1 in each rear door with 3.5 fosgate speakers running 2 hifonics bxx1200.4 amps on them everything tuned and deadened used fast rings on the back of each speaker and second skin deadener all over doors my system is RIDICULOUSLY LOUD AND CLEAR. I got these for my '13 Hyundai Elantra along with some RF tweeters and the 12" P300 powered sub. The woofers sit PERFECTLY inside of the door without any modification to the door panel. I tore out the stock woofer and used the bracket for these and it worked great. Plugged in the new harness and it was gold. I kept the stock stereo since I wanted to keep it all stock looking and blew my budget on the rest of the setup, but even without an external amp these things really produce some quality sound. I didnt need the tweeters, but im glad they are there for the extra punch in the high end. Definitely recommend. ----- Also, unless you want to...you probably dont need to replace the rear speakers. These blow them out anyways so save your money unless you wanna shake the whole block. Cheers ... show more

    • Great If You Have The Right Setup
First of all, these are great. But I don’t think they’re best suited as standard door speakers. If these have their own enclosure and a solid amplifier powering them, they will hit hard. Really hard. But just in a door panel, these will never reach their full potential. So if you are thinking about replacing your door speakers with these, I would highly recommend saving the extra money because you will be disappointed in the lack of mid-range bass. But if you have a custom enclosure for high power mid range drivers, these will fulfill that role perfectly. I did a side-by-side comparison with these drivers paired with the Rockford Bullet Tweeters and compared it to some coaxial Kenwood KFC-1796PS 6.75”, I preferred the Kenwoods hands down. They were more capable of providing a fuller band of sound in a door panel situation. The Kenwoods are also 1/3 the cost. Also, if you’re going to have these powered by nothing except your headunit, just don’t. You’re completely wasting your time and money. An external amplifier capable of pushing 50-100 watts RMS is absolutely required for any mid-range depth with these drivers. ... show more

Amazing! Paired a set with a set of P1 tweeters for the front stage, band-passed from 80 & 3500 htz running active on a P600.4 and first listen with flat tuning on 360.3 DSP. Volume and clarity is finally better than my wife's ride with two sets of Punch 6.5 components and 4" two-ways for front stage. Vocals have depth and extend cleanly at high volume much better than any other door speaker I've had prior in this ride. I was originally worried about depth of midbass but after installation, no more worries even before tuning. Been using Fosgate equipment since '91, very impressed with these for my application and listening pleasure. Also fast shipping from this seller, had in hand only 2 days after ordering. ... show more

I got these to replace other aftermarket speakers on my Street Glide. Both had the same RMS and Ohms rating, but these sound incredible, have a huge magnet and sounded crisp. Update: I took these out of my 2017 Street Glide because they sound great and put them in my 2020 SG. I paired it with a Alpine Power Pack Amp and at 70+ mph there is a huge wall of music coming at me. Loud, clear and Awesome. ... show more

Rockford Fosgate is the best brand in car audio. I love it. They are the best speakers I installed, and it was time to install them on my car. just had to make an appropriate tray as it was not going to place in the factory spaces. and to improve the sound,I install them with Pioneer tweeters ts-B350 ,another awesome speakers... excellent sound clarity, quality, and power.. I recommend it. Update: I put another in the trunk with two Pioneer 6x9, to accompany my new 2 Rockford Fosgate P3, 600 rms each. 2 bombs..!!!. ... show more
