  • Can't imagine much better sound for the price!
Pattern: Speaker
I put these in my 2014 Mazda3. Unfortunately, my salesperson/dealer told me the original door speakers were 5"x7". Lies. They are 6 1/4", I believe. Anyway, I made these fit in the front doors and they sound great. Nice tight sound. You can hear every part of the music. Seem to be very efficient, as I am using them with the stock stereo with no problems driving them loudly without distortion. Crisp highs and decent bass for the size. I'm primarily a rock listener and the do very well with Police, Rush, Led Zeppelin so far! Would have put them in the back, but just couldn't make them fit in the smaller space. I would buy these again in a second. Very good price here at Amazon, as well. I always shop around! ... show more

  • True 5x7
Pattern: Speaker
These are a TRUE 5x7 speaker. Yes they may adapt for 6x8, but the speaker basket will actually fit in a 5x7 hole. I put these speakers in a 1982 toyota cressida and they fit great. I start with “fit” because that was the challenge when buying speakers for my car. I didn’t want to cut metal or reshape the rear deck of my sedan so I searched long and hard for speakers that would fit in the original factory hole. When I first removed the stock speakers I found the hole to be a snug 5x7 opening. Many speaker profess to be 5x7/6x8; in which the speaker basket is usually a 6x8 thus not fitting in a 5x7 hole. I purchased 2 pairs before learning this. The extra plastic on the side of the speaker to adapt for 6x8 does impede the speaker slightly, but there was lil problem installing with small adjustments. The sound of course is truly amazing in comparison to 31 year old stock speakers so my perception is slightly skewed. Plus I’m still running the original radio, but in defense it has an equalizer and tape-deck that I’m running my ipod through. I do believe I’d get a lil more bump out of the speaker with a new deck which I shall be purchasing soon. ... show more

  • Replaced stock door speakers on 2007 Mazda Miata MX5
Pattern: Speaker
These are a direct replacement for the stock speakers. I used "DKMUS 2 X Pairs Wire Cable Wiring Harness for Ford Lincoln Mercury Mazda Speakers Adapter Connector Adaptor Plug" to do the wiring. I also used the OEM water shield which helped lining up the mounting screws. I also have just installed a new headset. Sound is as expected. I wanted a speaker that did not have a paper type cone. ... show more
