  • Drums Don't Work - No Available Support
Guitar, mic, and game all work as advertised. However, the drums won't power on. I've tried 2 fresh sets of batteries. At most the power button flashes white twice and then nothing. Seller's name is grayed out, there's no other obvious way to contact them. Product support goes to a random website that has nothing to with the items. And even when I click to return the item, I'm met with a popup saying it's not a valid option. Hopefully,Google eventually leads to an answer, 'cause otherwise, welp, RIP that large chunk of money ... show more

  • Really good improvement over mad catz rb4.
As a long time rock band player, I haven't upgraded instruments in several years. After two days with the redesigned pdp instruments, I've concluded the following. 1) The drum pedal is reliable compared to past iterations, I prefer to play with 'rubber tipped' sticks to dampen sound however, and I can say that the actual drum set is not very responsive unless struck solidly. That said, when I play with the included sticks, or any other wooden tips, it is quite responsive and if there is a failure to hit, it's on me. 2) The jaguar guitar is definitely a step above the stratocaster launched with rb4. The buttons are very soft, which for expert players is a bonus, so there is no real 'break in' period to speak of. 3) There is NO dropoff to speak of concering the Bluetooth functionality, at least as far as I've seen. The mad catz instruments from the rock band 4 launch required firmware updates to even be close to perfect, these seem to only miss if it's user error. I'm very happy with the new instruments, and it's worth it to upgrade if you are still using legacy from rb3. ... show more

  • Old Vet comming out of the wood works
So a little background I had Rockband 1 & 2 and was an expert drummer except for the hardest of hardest songs. I'm getting it up and running was a little confusing I had to go online and look at a couple of things just to get it paired. In the end it works like barring any other Bluetooth device to your PlayStation 4. The quality of the instruments seem the same as they've always been pretty much. I'm not a fan of the foldable neck guitar it seems like it could get a little loose and wobbly and probably break away but I don't play guitar much thats the fiances job. The drum heads have a little more padding than what I was used to with previous rockbands. They all seem to work as intended. I'm missing a lot of notes on hard, but i havent played in 6 years. Software wise I hate the manual calibration. There is not a way to test your manual calibrations without getting out of callibration settings going into another mode, choosing a song and waiting to play it. Seems like I remember Rockband 2 having a testing ground built into the callibration menu. Overall I am pleased so far but will update if something changes. January 2nd 2017: Things are getting very bad. I will change my rating from 4 stars to 2. The drum kit is not counting many notes now and the red and yellow pads stopped registering hits at all tonight. This was while the kick pedal, blue, and green pads were still working. There is also a real bad stuttering that comes and goes in the note scrolling that was not there before. This started about 2 weeks ago. ... show more

  • WOW....
My 18 year old grandson got this for he and his family (8 and 10 year old brothers). Mom and dad and all the kids are thoroughly enjoying this. It's such an awesome family bonding/entertaining system. Well worth the purchase.

  • I am disappointed :(
I was looking forward to this as I haven't bought since PS3 Rock Band. The song list is meh and I guess I missed out on being able to at least export the original songs. I really didn't want to have to spend a lot just to get a decent song list, so that was too bad. The drums seem okay and not sure if I'm out of practice/suck or if it's a drum lapse issue. The guitar - I love the idea of the foldable guitar. This is a fun game to play in groups so that's helpful for travel. However, my fender did not work out of the box. The lights briefly flashed and then never came on again. I tried PDP customer 'support' but that was a joke. After repeatedly calling them within support hours and constantly getting a message saying that I was calling out of their hours, I finally gave up. I decided to go ahead and return the box as my silly expectation is that the whole bundle should work and not just pieces. ... show more

  • Great for parties
This is such a fun game to play with family and friends. I find myself playing it with my three year old all the time. He likes to sing (which is adorable but hurts the ears a little). It is also a great game for social gatherings. We played this all night at my wife's birthday party and after a few drinks anyone will think they can sing. Makes for a very fun evening. One note I would make is be ready for some lag on the vocals. Unless you have a dedicated optical cable or a good receiver you pretty much have to turn vocals all the way down. That is why I will only give it 4 stars. ... show more

  • Rock Out and Have Fun!
Whether it's Rockin out with your friends / family or by yourself. Rock Band 4 is an awesome game. The Rock Band Rivals pack comes with a PS4 Wireless and "Fold-able" Fender Jaguar inspired guitar. The original Rock Band 4 comes with Over 60 new tracks and more than 1,500 songs. Plus you can import your previously purchased Rock Band into music library However this is Rock Band Rivals and it includes all of that plus DLC, so to get the complete Rock Band Experience this is the best option. What is special about the Rock Band Band Kit is it includes a set of Wireless Drums, Mic, Guitar and the Game, It's especially for those who want the true band experience and enjoy multiplater. And if you don't like the Blue Jaguar guitar you have the options to purchase different style guitars, and more. This for me is the best Band Simulator ever made and I would highly recommend this as a gift of just for having fun ... show more
