Rank amateur here so please forgive any mistakes etc. I have a couple of SBCs running Rochester quadrajets. When they work love them as compared to other carbs I've been around. The one currently on the 327 runs perfect without issue. I have a 350 though that came with both a period correct Rochester and a replacement aftermarket from the seller. It runs but even with my best attempts as adjustment never seemed as smooth as the one on the 327. I've likely got a vacuum leak or something else undiagnosed but working my way through the learning process. Well boxed and wrapped carb. Out of the box seems to have a good fit and finish other than the lower surface which others noticed marring scratches on. Do not appear to impact operation with a good gasket but something to note. This may be common to those that went through vine. Price point seems to be good as compared to other options out there. With just going with a plug and play replace I was able to get it installed an operational out of the box. Seems to be an improvement over the existing carb for myself. Do note the fuel line position to ensure it works with what you have. I also had to set up the wiring for an electric choke versus my existing manual controlled by a thermo-mechanical coil. May have been the issue with the my original honestly. Operates smoothly through the throttle range although there was some hesitation but likely with my aged throttle linkage setup so did up a spring. All in all not many complaints for the price point and keeping an older car running. Will probably end up with a carburetor collection needing rebuilds until I get that on a list of things to puzzle through. Appreciate the matching fit as compared to some many possibilities with straight aftermarket options.

If you do some searching online you will see mixed reviews on these Q-Jet copies and I suspect that's true of most products. I am pleasantly surprised at the quality and appearance of the one I received. No issues with leakage or idle speed and quality on this one but keep in mind, those who report problems may very well have other performance issues that are incorrectly being blamed on the carburetor. Overall a pretty solid value in my opinion.

Update, thundermingo responded with an offer of a $20 discount because of the missing cap over the APT screw. That works for me. Installed the carb and out of the box, my RV fired right up. It's running very good with a couple of minor adjustments. Minus 1 star for a missing part, but plus 4 for fit and function.

This electric choke replacement brought my old Quadrajet carb back to life with smooth cold starts again. The wiring was simple, the mechanism moves clean, and it didn’t stick or hesitate after install. It bolted on perfectly and restored reliable choke performance without needing tweaks. Start ups feel consistent even in cooler weather. Great value if you're restoring an older carb setup and want modern reliability without complexity.
