Every once in a blue moon you get a product that is beyond what you expected and you wish you had one more star. This is the one. I purchased the 4.6L and it's the perfect size for my three cats. Not sure how long it will be before I need to clean and refill, but it looks long enough that we can make a tiny trip to see family and the cats will be fine. This pet waterer is very attractive, well made, very sturdy. It includes a nice stainless steel bowl and a clear plastic water container that is BPA free (according to the manufacturer in the Amazon questions section). When you fill and install the clear plastic water container, there is absolutely no sound. I expected the typical bubbling sounds but got a quiet fill of water. The rubber feet are super easy to place on the bottom. I didn't see any instructions, but you could use the video from the product's amazon page. That's all you need. This is a good purchase, good choice.

I wasn't sure if this was going to be a good product and was uneasy about the price. However I was impressed once I received it. The base is sturdy and the non-slip pads work really well. The stainless pan is easy to clean. The really impressive part is how the auto fill works with a disk in yhr bowl that can be used to direct the water when it fills. The bottle cap had a sealing feature making it easy to install and remove with no water spilling oit of the bottle. Very nice design. The bottle is enough for about 6-7 days for two inside adult cats. The only negative is when it gets low, the bottle we is easily knocked over. not a big deal since it needs to be filled anyway and the sealing cap keeps the water from spilling out. We are very happy with this.

I got this water feeder for my cat so that she can have a metal bowl to prevent cat acne. It is a robust design and has held up well. It is relatively easy to clean and separate the components. I have put the metal basin and the plastic "filter holder" in the dishwasher with good results. The design is a little awkward for cats but it is working okay Pros: - Easy to clean and dishwasher worked okay - Stylish design - Durable materials and good component design for robustness - Pretty easy to disassemble for cleaning, sometimes the "filter holder" disk will be a little stuck but it always removes Cons: - The water bowl basin is at a bit of an awkwardly tall height for medium sized house cats - the water sits relatively low (even when the gravity bottle is 100% filled) and the walls are tall so a cat needs to really arch itself over the wall to drink - it seems to be more of an appropriate design for dogs. If it's lower relatively to where the cat stands it seems to be a bit better. - The plastic of the gravity bottle is a little thin (think the thickness of a 2L soda bottle). - The filter element is fully plastic (you can tell in images but just confirming know) and mine did not have any filter disks but they can be cut to shape and added I suppose.

I have always used those automatic water dispensers as I have a cat and a dog who both drink a ton of water. I didn't want to have to keep refilling a bowl several times a day. However, I could only find the plasic basin ones in a big enough size. I hates how gross and dirty they always got. You could never clean them properly and all the mineral deposits would build up on the inside. I'm sure it got very unhygenic. All of the water dispensers with a metal basin that I looked at had such a small water jug. I would still be filling it daily. This one comes in a perfect size that allows me to only have to fill it about once a week. The bowl is incredibly easy to clean. And the best part is that its so simple to fill. No more water spillage like the other dispensers as you don't need to flip the whole thing upside-down. No water comes out as there is a plunger to stop the flow until it gets compressed in the water basin once you set it in. Highly recommend this item.

Got this automatic water filter as a back up water source for our outdoor dog. We were heading in a two week trip and got this water bowl as a back up water source. We had people coming in to check up on our dog while we were on a two week trip to Spain. She is an older dog and starting to drink a lot of water daily. She has a big two gallon water bowl but wanted to have a spare back up bowl in case her other bowl went dry. This worked great. She really liked drinking from this bowl and I think prefers it to her other water bowl. Not sure why. It lasts about a week and a half for us before we need to fill it up. Very easy to fill and clean the stainless bowl on the bottom. Only had this for about two months Buy so far it has been great.

Easy to use, simple to refill and the ability to remove the metal tray for cleaning makes this product ideal. This is far and away the simplest and best automatic pet waterer we have ever owned. The size of the tank lasts about 3 days for two labradors, and even when filled to capacity it is manageable for our children to be able to refill the tank. Great product.
