I ordered the 68-inch version of this electric fireplace to put under the television in our game room, and we think it looks terrific. It adds a lot of ambiance and pizzazz to our game room. We are really enjoying this fireplace. Installing this fireplace was very straightforward. It only took me a total of about 45 minutes to go over the instructions, hang it on the wall and get it up and running. So, all went well installation-wise. Appearance-wise we think the fireplace looks really sleek and handsome. However, with that said, to be honest I have seen electric fireplaces with much nicer/cooler looking “flames.” But to be fair, unlike those other fireplaces, this one doesn’t cost a thousand plus dollars. So, I think the bottom line here is that for its modest/budget-friendly price, this electric fireplace will be very tough to beat. I absolutely love the large size! This is definitely a two person task for me as it was larger than my arm span and heavy. The set up was really easy as the front glass removes for ease of adjusting glass or logs. We added logs (purchased separately) versus the included glass. I like how the led lights change the color of the logs and that the flame stays consistent at what color you set it to. The color possibilities are endless. The only thing I didn’t like is that the led setting did not dim separately from the flame lighting. The dimming is both to the led strip and the flame. However, the setting stays when you turn it off and turn on. The remote is convenient and I love the timer option so if I forget to turn off before falling asleep, it automatically shuts off. We are debating where to install at the moment so it is not hung/built in just yet. I want it in the bedroom and my husband thinks it would look great upgrading the small one in our living room. We opted to hang this fireplace instead of recessing it into the wall. This fireplace is large and beautiful (68"). It comes with really good hardware so it is not that hard to hang. This is a gorgeous fireplace and really makes a statement in your home. I love all the options and settings that it has. If you are installing it into a wall make sure you have a level and another strong person helping with the install. If you are remodeling and want to add some charm - this fireplace would do just that. No longer do you have to buy the big bulky electric fireplaces where it takes an expert to install it. I would've liked a couple of changes to this unit: 1] Taller and 2] More flame options -- there is not one white one. I do like: a] length; b] ease of set up; c] overall look; d] remote functions as well as on unit functions; e] clear glass rocks. The heating function on this is okay. No, it does not replace my room heater. But it does give off okay heat. This fireplace is beautiful!! I ordered the 68" fireplace to heat a room that doesn't have any heat and it works well! The unit is very heavy, so make sure to mount it accordingly and have help in doing so! I may eventually build out the wall to have it inset, but for now it is simply hung on the wall and still looks fabulous! There are different heat settings as well as lighting settings to adjust to your needs. The blower isn't strong, but it's not needed as it will quickly heat the room. This is certainly a statement piece along with functionality! I highly recommend the Rintuf Electric Fireplace because it is easy to hang, easy to use and looks wonderful in any room of the house! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This 60" fireplace was much easier to install than I thought it would be. It took me about 40 minutes to assemble it, hang it on the wall, and fill it with the included acrylic crystals. The instructions were clear and easy to understand. The flame is mostly realistic. I have yet to see an electric fireplace that looks like real flames, but his one, depending on the flame color and speed setting, looks authentic enough for us. After all, we're not trying to fool anyone into thinking it's real flames. As mentioned above, the flame speed is adjustable, as is the flame color, the crystal bed color, and the brightness. It has a timer function and two heat settings. All adjustments can be set from a remote control or a touch panel on the front of the fireplace. There are a few things I don't care for. One is the remote control; sometimes, it works great, and sometimes won't. I know to make sure there is a clear line of sight to the I.R. sensor and to allow it time to respond, but for some unknown reason, it operates intermittently. I have tested it from as close as two feet and as far away as 15 feet with the same results. About 25% of the time, it won't work. The second issue I have is with the LED lights for the crystal bed. You can see each individual led. You'll notice in the video we uploaded that we have installed the optional wood logs and the LEDs are even more visible. If you view the fireplace from a seated position, you don't see them. Only when you're standing is this noticeable. The blower motor for the heater is quiet but does not blow the heat very far. For us, that's not a big deal because we seldom use the heat function. I don't think it's possible to simultaneously have the blower quiet and forceful. In conclusion, This is an excellent electric fireplace, especially for the price. We have wanted to get one for several years and are delighted to have this one in our home. ... show more
