I watched many YouTube videos, searched online, and through Amazon and settled on the Ringke Onyx case. I was looking for rugged, sturdy protection with a clean look and not too much added bulk. This case fits the bill. The sides have added grip. It's thick and feels sturdy. It's also raised on the front and around the camera so the front screen and back camera lenses don't touch the surface when the phone is laid flat. I also really like the look. Can't speak to durability yet but this case certainly feels premium. I would also recommend getting some type of additional screen protection for this phone since it costs as much as some premium laptops. ... show more

As others have mentioned...this is a very nice case for the 22U. Best grip (and texture) I've felt on any case, possibly ever. Perfect feel on the sides and back. Any more grippy and it would stick to fabric too much; if going in a pocket etc. It's just about the perfect amount of grip. Protection seems as good as any of the others. Compared to most Spigens, even a bit more height on the screen side top/bottom ridges, as well as the the camera ridge. Lastly, the corner nubs that allow it to lay perfectly flat is a great idea. Very minimal looking and quite nice when using on a desk. I wouldn't want to go back to the wobble after this. I don't use camera lens protectors, due to the optics possibly (most likely) being distorted just a tad (remember, Samsung promoted their "super clear glass" for the lens covers this time)... So if I could make one request to Ringke if you're listening.... Make a case just like this, except with the camera lens area closed up... sealed around each individual lens. This is a nice and solid case for the S22 Ultra. It's not too bulky but has a substantial feel to it. One minor con is the sides of the case are too flat. This makes the phone a bit harder to hold. I added a picture to compare this case's side grip vs my Caseology Parallax's side grip. I would love to see this case made with a slightly round side with textured grip like Caseology's Parallax case. Also, it'd be perfect if they make individual camera cutouts like the official Samsung cases. The "P" look isn't great for cameras. My pictures show the case with camera protectors (a must have for S22u). They fit perfectly. ... show more

Lightweight, great fit & I love the texture on the back and sides. My last case was just flat plastic on edges and it would slide out of my hand, across the car seat etc... This cases texture is subtle, but effective. Just wish it had a bit more edge protection. The lip is smaller than I prefer which is a big deal, hence 4 stars. Otherwise great case. ... show more

This is exactly what I was looking for. It's the only relatively thin case that has good side grip and texture on the back AND you can use a lens cover which fits perfectly with added bumpers. Additionally they have these bumps on the back perfectly placed which let's you lay the phone down and it doesn't wobble. Last great point is they left just a smidge of bumper on the top and bottom front-face so you can lay the phone face down and there is just a midge of space leaving the phone face from touching the surface.     • Texture is weird
The texture on this case is weird. It's like having sand paper as your case. The sides of the case is like a nail file. To me, it doesn't feel grippy but at the same time, it's not slippery. The case is around $13, so it not a waste of money to try it. It's easy to take off and put back on. I prefer Spigen's smooth rubberized texture over this because this provides the best grip with comfort. You also get the lanyard holes on both sides. ... show more
