My son and I absolutely love these summer hoodies! I am always looking for ways to reduce the endless chore of sunscreen application, and this UPF 50+ rash guard fits the bill perfectly. The polyester fabric is decidedly lightweight and breathable, keeping him cool even during active play outdoors. It certainly does not feel chintzy or rough against the skin. The cut is sporty and attractive, looking great whether he is running around the yard or heading out to the water. I can confirm that the sizing is true to form and fits exactly as expected. Practical details like the hood and thumbholes provide extra coverage and work well without being fiddly for a child to manage. While it isn't ultra-premium luxury activewear, it is exactly what you would expect for the affordable price point. At roughly $17, it is a very solid, reliable item that gets the job done. This long-sleeve hoodie swim shirt is great quality. I would suggest, however, sizing up. The 14-16 looks more like a 10-12 to me. The fabric is the typical silky swim shirt material. I really like the breathable soft mesh sides and underarms. Not entirely see-through, but will definitely make this more comfortable to wear. I was surprised to see that the long sleeves have thumb holes, to help keep the sleeves down. The reason this is only a 4 stars rating is because of the neck opening. It hardly stretches at all, and it's barely big enough to squeeze a normal-sized head through. It feels confining, although perhaps that's the point, for skin protection? If you're claustrophobic, though, the combo of the tight neck and the smallish hood might trigger it. Sizing up might help, but the narrow opening seems to be the design regardless of size.

The material is lightweight, soft, and very comfortable for kids to wear outside in the heat. The UPF 50 protection is a huge plus for long days in the sun, and the hood gives extra coverage for the neck and ears. I also really like the thumb holes on the sleeves — they help keep the sleeves in place and add even more sun protection for little hands. The bright color is great for visibility, especially at parks, beaches, or crowded outdoor events. The fit was true to size with a little extra room to grow, and the fabric seems durable while still breathable. My child said it was comfortable enough to wear all day without complaining about being too hot. Overall, a great sun shirt for active kids and definitely worth purchasing!

I ordered this for my son. We have a pool and spend a lot of time outside in the summer and he doesn't always want to put on sunscreen so him and I both are a big fan of sun shirts. He wears a size 6 typically and this fits true to size. All the sewing is well made around the neck and thumb holes. The hood is a decent size so it doesn't pull on the collar. The texture is nice and soft and it has a breathing area near the arm pits to allow a bit of airflow. This will be a great addition to our summer time and highly recommend.

My 5-year-old granddaughter is so active, swimming, boating, fishing, etc. This shirt is perfect for her as sometimes they stay out on the lake towards the evening and it gets chilly. And coming out of the pool can also be cold, so she can wear it then too. She loved the thumb holes so she could pull it down over her hands. The shirt is very stretchy and comfortable, and very soft. And it’s so soft! She wears it sometimes to bed as pajama tops. I think this is a great buy for youngsters and a good value for the price!
