A must have pipe wrench. Hold up great. Grabs pipes like a champ. Strong an light weight. Ridge is the way to go for pipe wrenches. Teeth are sharp an are still sharp after years of use. I bought this as i had run out of options to remove a broken cylinder from a humanscale chair. I tried taping it for traction and had used a bunch of various Knipex wrenches, etc but they all kept losing grip and spinning on the cylinder. I bought this bad boy, torqued it up and the teeth really bit into the solid steel cylinder and spun it out of the housing (not without it's challenge though, the thing was VERY jammed into the body of the chair supports).
