    • So much better than the half twist grip
Be sure to compare the plug your current throttle has to the plug in the photo. There are two types of plugs on the market. The twist throttle must bike came with gave me a case of tennis elbow. Very very very painful. Easy to install. Take off the grip on the side you want it. Slide the throttle onto the handlebar. Put the grip where you want it. Tighten the throttleto where it kinda still moves. Sit on the bike with the power off androtate the throttle into the correct position in relation to your normal position of your hand. Tighten it down. This is my second one. I got into the habit of sliding my thumb off and letting it snap up to the off position. The snap chipped the top of the housing, and the internal mechanism went past the zero position, to a -1 spot and it got a tiny amount of power. It wouldn't go completely off. With this replacement, 1 I will try to remember to not let it snap to off, and 2 I am going to gorilla glue a tiny piece of metal across the top of the slot to reinforce it. I installed this thumb throttle in place of the twist throttle on my Lectric XP Lite. As another review mentioned, you will have to swap two wires (Signal, +5v) to make this work. You can splice the wires in the throttle cable but it is cleaner to do the swap in the connector at the controller end. My photo shows the connection you will need to change. The black male connector wires are black, green and red. The white female connector wires are black, red and white. You can swap the wires in either connector: leave black alone and switch the pins on the other two. I found it was much easier to get the female pins out. You can google for instructions on removing the pins. It is a bit of a pain but the end result is much nicer than having a big bulge in the exposed throttle cable. Good luck! ... show more

The one I received looked like it had been used already, and the plastic looked scrapped up. I returned it. The plastic did seem solid and the throttle felt nice when it was installed on the repair stand

    • WORKS ON RAD BIKES!!!
So I bought this for my Rad Mission originally because I wanted to declutter the handle bar. Was going to switch to bull horns but can't find one that the brakes fit on and snapped one. They were kind enough to send another brake lever free of charge. Anywho, this will work on the Rad Mission and it's just as easy as unplug the first one and then plug this in. No twisting or it'll break the connectors. Just pull the old one out, line it up, and push the new one in. It does require a little effort. But once done you're ready to go. I did angle mine upwards a little bit more though so that when it's not in use, it almost sticks straight up. I did that so that when I have it pushed down all the way, it lays flat in line with everything else and level. It causes less stress on my thumb that way. Edited: Not waterproof. Got caught in a storm and now the throttle gets stuck on. ... show more

Worked as a replacement to the broken original on my Ancheer ebike. Slide right on and the included alan wrench also helped me change my grips.
