Description

Rice Bran Wax, a natural vegetable wax also referred to as the botanical name Oryza sativa. Rice Bran Wax is derived from extraction and de-waxing of rice bran oil. This process produces a solid, pale-yellow substance in granular form having a high melt point. Rice bran wax is food grade and often used as a substitute for carnauba wax. Bulk rice bran wax is used in a wide-range of cosmetic, food, and industrial applications. Cosmetic products that may use rice bran wax include body butters, lip balms, lipsticks, lotions, face creams, and mascara. Rice bran wax can be used on grown fruits and vegetables to prevent the loss of moisture and protect the product’s shelf life. Industrial and consumer products that may use vegetable waxes such as rice bran wax are crayons, polishes, coatings for wood or paper, and lubricants.

Save your money! I've wasted about $75 trying to make one large jar of lotion. This doesn't combine with water. It is very thin but takes forever to melt. I was trying to avoid btms because of a nickel allergy. I ended up having to use btms anyway to not have to dump out all the ingredients I used. I guess this stuff only works if you're trying whip and fluff up oils. For that all you need to do is use an immersion blender and put air in it. The first is btms I'm melting now. ... show more
