I have been a fairly heavy user of coco coir for years now. I use it for houseplants, terrariums, mushroom substrate, and other stuff. I have seen coco chunks before but they were always quite a bit larger than this. This stuff is fantastic! It is a nice, small size for using in pots and soaks up to a very spongey, water retaining medium. It can be wrung out to stay damp without being soaked and still allows free draining. It will be great for moisture regulation. It strikes me as being well suited for the typical job done by sphagnum moss. Highly recommended as a substrate additive or even a hydroponic medium.

I am in an online plant group, and when we were talking about plant propagation, others mentioned this as the best method for tropical plants. I currently have a pink syngonium and manjula pothos propagating, and they are already propagating new leaves. I'm glad the group told me to check the reptile section for this potting medium. I also add this in place of orchid bark for my aroid plants.
