I installed the hot water heater as recommended by the manufacturer. Performed the startup as recommended by the manufacturer. Started getting the code 11 once in a while but after resetting it it would run fine for a while. Called tech support and they made me run a number of tests, everything checked out to the point of the techinician who was helping me say that there was anything wrong else he could do for me and hung up the phone. I decide to replace the propane regulator knowing that there was as nothing wrong with it. Since then I have called tech support about 5 times and got the same answers. They cant explain why this keep happening and refuse to replace any part. This is the last time I buy any Rheem product and thanks to tech support for being completely worthless. ... show more

Great Units, I'd recommend them to anybody. This was a replacement for the first one I bought which was 11 years old and had performed perfectly. I'm sold on them, I don't know if a tankless heater is more efficient than a tank type water heater (cost less to operate per year). I install a circulator pump in line with it. This pump come on with a push of a button and pulls water out of the Hot water supply line and into the cold water supply. When the discharge of the hot water line reaches 85 degrees F it shuts the pump off. They are expensive. We live out in the country and are on a septic tank. The pump greatly reduces the amount of water that goes down the drain waiting on hot water. ... show more

Code 11 none stop from the box. Some times it works but would throw code 11 if it sits idle. Never had this problem with any of the Rinnai water heater

The problem is that whenever there is a power outage, the wired low voltage remote will not restart without you turning off the water supply and then repowering the remote. I my case the heater is outside and the remote is inside, they are not close. Rheem acknowledges this system failure but does not have a fix that I know of. Since it is low voltage, it seems that an internal battery might solve the problem. Or I've considered installing a battery backup in a weathertite box. I have four Rinnai tankless propane waterheaters on my ranch and I have NEVER had a single problem. I regret buying Rheem! ... show more

piece of CRAP, i have installed three Rheem water heaters, this one lost me over 800.00 as we installed it an airbnb and it kept going out on us, so the gas company did their thing and that didn't work, plumber tried to help, nothing. so i had two cancellations and a bad review becasue of this wtr htr. I have had no issues with the other Rheem products, but this one was a nightmare. hoping to get my money back for it. ... show more
