Bought this item for my son to experience some of the older games. The first one that arrived did not boot up correctly. The screen lit up but there were just random letters in different parts of the screen and the is never booted up. The replacement booted up well and worked. Lots of games but quite a few were labeled with just random letters and did not know what the game was. Played a few games like FF3 Pokemon fireyred and harvest moon but system never allowed saves. Said it saved and showed the file but when rebooted up to play again nothing was there. Returned the replacement as well.

So, the first thing to know is that this device is a clone/knockoff. Luckily, it has the ram and processing power of the original system. None of these budget emulators are going to run all ps1 and n64 games. That's not realistic. Second, the memory card shipped with this is very cheap and likely to fail. That goes for all of these budget emulators. You can replace it yourself. There are lots of tutorials on how to do that and change up the game library. It uses USBC for its audio jack. All that being said, I was able to swap the card and customize it. I've been really pleased with it so far. I feel like I got my money's worth for what it is. I saw some other review about single save files? Haven't had that issue, but I updated the OS when I upgraded the card. So, this is a decent little device but expect to update the memory card.

Works amazing, screen and build is great. Comes with lots of games including Pokemon. Can’t really ask for much more for $50, really enjoy it! Retro arch is awesome because you can use high quality shaders to make the games look way better. Also save states and cheats with retro arch. It runs ARK OS which is the standard for game emulation systems nowadays too.
