I was shocked at the sheer amount of games that came loaded on this little device. There’s practically infinite amounts of nostalgic entertainment at your fingertips, with the possibility to add even more games. The screen is crystal clear, and this even comes with a screen protector to ensure your screen stays as good as when you bought it. Battery life seems very good as well, and there’s an indicator in the settings that’s shows exactly how much battery is remaining. Some of the games such as FF7 has Japanese text (maybe this can be fixed in settings…I haven’t looked too far into it yet, or perhaps you can just find the English ROM and add it yourself. Also couldn’t find any Mario games, but again, any game you want is out there to be found and added to this device. For this price, this little system is a no-brainer. If a device like this existed back in the 90’s when I was a kid, I would have literally pooped my pants.

What’s not to love? It’s a perfect hand-held emulator. The design is pure throwback without sacrificing an ounce of quality and feels great. The buttons have that right kind of tactile punchiness and the crystal clear screen is bright and sharp. Being able to switch to GarlicOS from the settings is awesome. It comes preloaded with more than enough games but if you’re favorites aren’t there or if you need even more, adding ROM’s is not an issue at all. The one thing that I would recommend would be to grabbing a quality, name brand SD card, transferring everything over to that and keeping the original SD card in a safe place.

Now this is an awesome little gaming machine that is definitely worth having, but even though it is loaded with so many games, it is missing some really important ones. One of the reasons I purchased this game device was to be able to play old TurboGrafix-16 games again. There are quite a bunch already loaded on the system, but I found it was missing some of the ones I wanted to play. For example, it has Bonk III, but Bonk's Adventure, and Bonk II are not there. Thankfully, I believe if I can find the Roms for the games I want, I should be able to load them on the sd card, or onto a new card and still be able to play them. This is an awesome little gaming machine and if you want to play old retro games, this is definitely a cool device to own.

Fun little emulator system for taking a plethora of games on the go. This system has THOUSANDS of games to choose from, however being able to only read English limits me to playing about 50-60% of the titles (this is a rough estimate). There are too many Japanese games on there that I most likely wouldn't ever choose to play or give a chance simply because of the language barrier. That said, there are many games I recognized from playing in the arcade and on home gaming systems growing up in the 80's-90's, many of which I quickly marked as favorites so I might play later. This system comes with 2 storage devices with each being populated with seemingly the same titles. One major downside is the lack of consistency in naming and screenshot/thumbnail across all of the ROM's (even on the same emulator). If someone took the time to accurately name the files and provide at least a snip of the title screen or art, that would go a VERY long way. Another downside is that I spent a little while going through the options, and I have not yet found a way to utilize an external controller as it shows in the product details. The form factor for this device makes it uncomfortable for big hands to play for extended periods of time. The position of the L1/L2 and R1/R2 buttons on the back of the controller are very awkward with side-by-side placement. It does not offer the same level of intuitive game play from the original PSX controller. Additionally, it does not appear there's a way to play any games with 2 players. In the end, because of these downsides, I will probably find a different way to play these emulated classic games I once loved. The concept is great and will have a niche market, but it's not for me.
