Worked great for about 3 days, recommended it to a few people and now suddenly I can’t load any recent saves and i’m unable to make new save data, for any game. Just says something about an archive failure. Enjoyed for a few days but isn’t usable to me anymore. EDIT: I found a fix. Reload a (way) earlier game and re-save. The original messed up file is still corrupted but now works fine if i avoid that file. ... show more

I've been looking for something to scratch that retro gaming itch and this is perfect for it. Perfect size to fit in my pocket. Screen is beautiful. Super easy to use and mod. All I would like more is longer battery life but really not a deal breaker. Install Garlic OS and it does help a lot with battery life. Tons of videos on YouTube to help get that rolling and very easy to do. Such a fantastic little device for anybody! ... show more

I love retro game systems. This one is a great way to play some older games such as Ad&D Eye of the Beholder. The controls for it are surprisingly good. The fact that you can save the games at pretty much any point is a game changer. This was a great deal.

The Console is good quality and I enjoy playing with it. Only issue I had is that the second TF card slot came defective. Doesn’t allow a TF card in as the board looks to be bent a little out of shape. Otherwise….good purchase.

I got my RG35XX this week and am overall very happy with this. I'd be giving it a 4.5 if possible, as it isn't quite perfect, but the issues are very minor. I'd strongly suggest replacing the SD card with a new one running a different operating system. I used GarlicOS, but MinUI also looks very good. Either one performs much better than stock, and the original generic SD card will fail before long anyway. It's pretty easy to set up, there's a really good guide from RetroGameCorps. The screen looks great, the controls feel good (it's a little too easy to get diagonals, but this hasn't affected me much and you could always fix it with a little bit of electrical tape on the board if it really bothers you). I find it much more comfortable than I expected - I haven't had any cramps playing it with both hands, and if you have slightly large hands, it's just small enough to play RPGs or menu-focused games one-handed. The only real issue I've had is very odd. I was on the fence about using the included screen protector, but decided to put it on. Everything worked fine for a few days, then suddenly my screen looked like it was dying. The color was sapped, and everything was starting to look grey and blown out. I figured I just happened to get a bad screen or connector - I shut it off for a few hours, tried a different SD card, did some basic troubleshooting but the problem didn't go away. Long story short, the screen fixed itself a few seconds after I took the screen protector off. I don't think this affects every unit, and I don't mind using it without a protector, so this wasn't a big enough deal for me to knock a star off. But it seems like it might be pushing the panel a little too hard or something, at least on some units like mine. ... show more
