  • So much bang for the buck !
Style: RG35XX H black retro game
I like retro gaming , but I hate planning it or setting up a device to run the games on a larger screen etc. I keep this bedside and flip the switch and I’m gaming quickly. The number of preloaded games is great. Perfect for my intended use. Comfortable enough in my large hands.

  • The Seller is Legit, but get a 35xx Plus instead if you can help it
Style: ANBERNIC RG35XX H Purple Latest
Ordering the device off Amazon, I was expecting to get scammed but was pleasantly surprised when I got exactly what I ordered, with zero caveats! The seller is legitimate, and if you're looking for an RG35xx there are worse places to go. Regarding the device itself...... The handheld is very good, but the stock firmware is very bad and the custom firmware still isn't up to snuff yet. Trying to get anything other than the latest version of the stock to boot on it is like pulling teeth; at this point I've just given up and will probably only come back to the project in a year's time. If you're reading this in five years, there are probably better options for you. If you're reading this in 2025, this is probably still an incredible value and will finally be ready for market. If you read this in 2024, just get a 35xx Plus instead. The software just isn't there. ... show more

  • Works great, perfect for any game lover!
Style: RG35XX H black retro game
As far as retro gaming goes this thing is great. So we are game lovers of all size and age and we have many of the retro systems, while they are nice portability and the limited amount of games on any one is a bit sad. This one one on the other hand has over 5 thousand games from a bunch of systems. - First off it came very well protected and packaged - Everything that was supposed to be included was accounted for and in good working order. - The size is great for portability, it is literally pocket sized. Although because of the joysticks I wouldn’t necessarily put it in your pocket. I am going to use the included box and make a DIY carry case. Alternatively if you search the model number they do sell compatible travel cases. - So the power button is on the right side. You do have to hold it for a bit longer than a switch power button, so you are even less likely to accidentally turn it on. - So there wasn’t too much in the way for instructions, although honestly chances are if you are into this type of gaming you are also of the school to try stuff out to figure it out. - One helpful bit is on the top the port on the right is for charging and the one on the left is for AV out (but in C port form) which made it a bit of a mix up at first. - It did come with a screen protector which we like to put on all screens because they have saved many devices. That was a nice added bonus. Note it is a bit small so you may want to have the screen on when you line it up if it is a big deal to you. - The picture quality is absolutely amazing, especially for something this small. Like I said we have quite a few systems and a few retro and this one by far has the highest quality display. - So far the battery has lasted at least as long as stated. - Operation is very smooth, nothing has frozen or locked up. - All the buttons and joysticks feel nice and firm, not cheap and clunky. This is the perfect gift for any retro loving fan, the sheer amount included in it is amazing but if even that is not enough you can add more. With the quality and everything that this thing can do this is a great investment and deal for the price. ... show more

  • Excellent

rg35xx H Black Retro Game Emulator 35xxH with a 64G Card Pre-Loaded 5570 Games rg35xxh 3.5'' IPS Screen Supports 5G WiFi Bluetooth HDMI and TV Output The RG35XX series of handhelds are very amazing and very popular for good reason. They represent a new mark in quality, a new, higher standard of expectations in the budget low-end of the market. These handheld devices rarely get everything just right (this one comes close), and thankfully with the slew of new models that are introduced constantly, the hope is that each new generation of models will fix the shortcomings of those that preceded it. They are getting better and more powerful chipsets are being used to broaden the scope of gaming systems that can be smoothly emulated. It's a golden era of handhelds. This particular model takes the RG351P/M/MP series of horizontally oriented devices and shaves a bit in the dimensions to a more compact size and weight, while keeping the ergonomics intact. Only after handling a device can one appreciate or bemoan the decisions made by the manufacturer in terms of the interface and playability of a device. The controls are done exceedingly well on this one. The face buttons feel great, the analog sticks are responsive and without issues like drift, and the shoulder buttons work well too. There's a little step down which makes it easy to press the correct shoulder buttons. The analog sticks are positioned just a tad too far into the corners of the devices for my preference but that's just a minor issue. The shoulder buttons are just a bit more clicky and rattle more than I would hope for, and this is again a minor issue. The screen is a treat, being an IPS, OCA laminated panel. All these factors make for a great playing experience. The internal features that I find indispensable include having two SD card slots, dual band WiFi, and Bluetooth connectivity. The HDMI out is very welcome too. The two SD card slots make it easy to keep the OS and the game repository separate, meaning it's very easy to load or remove games onto the system. WiFi connectivity allows for easy OTA updates, Retroarch updates, and scraping boxart. The fact that these connectivity options exist now on the low-end is amazing. I loaded Batocera lite / Koriki on this one, since as of this writing, that seems to be the best option for custom firmware right now. So far, it's just okay but I hope that in the next few months better options come up. I'm sure it will. ... show more

  • playing not that smooth
Style: RG35XX H black retro game
The design and outlook of the console's good BUT, 1. the PS1 games built-in aren't that much 2. some of the built in GBA games can't be played, like Prince of Persia 3. as I downloaded some ROM of PS1 into the console, like Wild Arms 1, the game hanged at some point with all the buttons of the console inactive 4. the shoulder buttons and the A, B buttons're too close. When you've to press them at the same time, like triggering the gunshoot in PS1 Resident Evil, it's v uncomfortable and inconvenient ... show more
