This is a great game console and I played already hours on it. This one comes preloaded with over a hundred of games already on a exchangeable SD-card, but you can get bigger SD cards and just transfer the games over to a new card and add more from your own library on you PC or Mac. It also has dual operating system, with Linux or Android running in the background, depending which games you want to play. It fits great in my hand and so far the buttons have been very responsive and it is easy to play hours on end with this console. The battery also runs for several hours before you need to recharge, but it might take about 2-3 hours for a full recharge. The Linux system is installed on a second SD-Card and so you can even install you own version if you find a better on on the web. So far I had no trouble and left it as it is. I love this thing. You can flash custom firmware onto this to improve its compatibility, but you'll have a great time out of the box with the stock OS and games provided. Great for kids 10+, but probably not much younger incase they access the emulator settings and mess something up. I've yet to find a PS1 game it can't handle, and it even runs a fair amount of Dreamcast games (but performance may vary). Saturn performance improves with custom OS. Look into it - not super hard to do. This is the V model, which has both Linux and Android modes. If you're a basic user, you can probably get away with the cheaper VS model which only does Linux. Additionally, you can find THIS model for cheaper on the official website or a certain chinese import vendor but I'd ask you to consider; A. these are made-in-China Frankenstein machines made with repurposed parts. Good build quality but they don't always have the best quality control. Getting a wonky one is not an extremely rare occurrence. Having Amazon to facilitate an easy return is worth the premium IMO. B. You'll be paying approx. $20 shipping and waiting about 10 days for it to come from China with the other options. This listing came the next day for me, which tells me it's warehoused in the United States. this was definitely worth the money it has so many games that are like next to impossible to have on the go. i original was looking for marvel vs capcom 2 to play venom and gambit but it doesn’t have it but it does have a game on the second capcom page that has those two characters that’s marvel vs capcom. but the sound and the volume are phenomenal for such a tiny thing. you would think because of how bright and how loud the games are it would absolutely drain the battery but i played out the box it lasted me a good like two to three ish hours at full brightness. you can play the all the pokémon gen up like ruby and emerald. so many mega man and kirby games, if your into metal slug it has like seven out i don’t remember how many games. the user interface is a lot but just play sound a bit but don’t use like the gear system settings without a youtube video to walk you thought it the system you wan to use to lower the brightness is with either the start or select buttons keep the manual it helps with the interface. ... show more

There isn't a lot of games all good ones you are going to have to be tech savvy or know someone tech savvy to add them. No pokemon or super Mario or anything like that ye there's a few decent pre-installed like soul caliber and stuff. Def going to have to add way more tho I actually want on it. Lasted few weeks sd card no longer works ... show more

Couldn’t really do much due to a faulty screen but from what I could see. The handheld device has plenty of games from the SD card and many other options I didn’t get to try. The device has a long boot time, so don’t assume you can jump right in to your games after it’s been off. Update 8/20/2023: Returned the faulty RG353V and got a replacement through amazon. Received the device the day after which was great but it was definitely opened before the device was out of the packaging. Could've been an amazon employee or just straight up used and returned. But thankfully the device still works and looked lightly used. Works as intended so i'll keep the 3 stars up for now. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I love this device. I've installed ArkOS on it and all my favorite emulators. It runs up to Dreamcast and PS1 just fine on ArkOS with some emulator setting tinkering. It has a great form factor, is portable, and sturdy. The only thing I would say is that the stock operating system included on Linux is not that great, so definitely replace it with JELOS or ArkOS if you can (though JELOS doesn't allow bluetooth support). If you DO want bluetooth controllers and HDMI out at the same time, you'll need to use something like ArkOS. This is an amazing retro gaming device for the $150 range. Don't hesitate! ... show more

Overall very nostalgic piece of machinery, enjoyed every bit of it…if you are a 80’s to 90’s baby you will really appreciate this mini gaming console…highly recommended if you want a last minute Christmas present for yourself or someone who will actually appreciate it… the handheld does come with games already, but a bit of a downside you do have to put in your own specific games if you are particular of what you like to play. Other then that I have no complaints:) hope this helps.
