I saw this console on Amazon and had to be given it a try. Reminding of my old game boy color, I knew it would fill my desire for nostalgia in video games. I was blown away when I got it going just how much it has to offer. The console itself is great, functionality wise. The buttons are in comfortable spots and the triggers on the back make it possible to play all of the games that require them. The games, my gosh, the games! There is over 4300 games pre installed and then you’re free to add any that you want with the press of a mouse click. The battery life is good, have used it for a few days and just now needed its first full charge. Overall, this little handheld console has everything you’d want. This is a powerful device with a lot of popular games on it. I played Tomb Raider and Sonic the Hedgehog and they both worked great. The sceen is tiny but clear, and the games are fun to play. Be sure to find a chip in the bottom of the box and insert it in the slot to get the games. I am taking one star off because the user interface is terrible. There are too many buttons and they are in odd places and some of them are redundant and some of them don't work the way you'd expect. I kept getting stuck in incomprehensible menus with no clear way out. The A button launches a game but I had to press every other button several times to figure that out. For some reason I thought "select" is what you should press to choose a menu option, but I was wrong about that. The manual is printed in tiny print on one side of a sheet of paper and it contains technical jargon that is minimally useful. This product would greatly benefit from a well-written user manual. Once you figure out how to launch a game, and what keys to press, the device works very well. The graphics and music are quite nice and the buttons are responsive. So I've had a couple of these GB like emulator devices. This is one of the better ones I've used. Being able to dual boot from Linux into Android is pretty nice if you want to use some android apps. There are some reasons to use Linux over android and also the other way. This is going to run PS1 and under. I Haven't tested anything higher than that but everything I've thrown at it is playable. the screen is nice and bright with the colors looking great! The buttons are mushy wish they were clicky. all in all its a good device there are cheaper but anbernic is best in class honestly ... show more

Received the console, gifted it to a family as they had seen it in other platforms. Most games work, however the more popular games like GTA don’t work. They state there is a corrupt file upon launching the game. Games like sonic, street fighter and Pac-Man freeze up. Doesn’t have any of the Mario games. At the end of the night wouldn’t launch any of the games. Is it worth the price tag? Nope!!! ... show more

I remember having a Game Boy for a long time and enjoying the time spent playing all the silly little games on it. I saw this and because not only did it have the Nintendo games that I enjoyed but a multitude of others I thought I would get it and give it a try.
