  • A lot of bang for the buck
Absolutely love this lens I did not have one bad thing to say about it. It is lightweight and it’s perfect for mini jobs. I am a freelance photographer for a local newspaper, and it is lightweight and does very well in low light situations although it is only a 2.8. It takes Sharp portraits, keeping the color true to canon, the motor you cannot hear and it is extremely fast. I also do videography work with it and let me tell you it has been a game changer for on the go work. It is extremely versatile from landscapes to portraits. It can handle the workload. ... show more

  • Great quality for a great price.
I really enjoy this lens. Impressive IQ, light weight, easy to use all day. I’ve taken it on a few family trips, I love the images I can get out of it. Versatile, quick focus, great colors straight out of camera. The more I’ve used it, the more I enjoy it.

  • Good overall Lens
Great Lens. it's very sharp and light. For video I cannot tell any difference between Canon L series Lens. Great product and good price.

  • Budget Friendly Lens
Bought this lens for my EOS R8 and I can proudly say that it doesn't disappoint. The quality, the focus speed, stabilization, everything you can think of are top notch for just being an RF. This lens is a good budget friendly lens as in comparison to the L series, which can be double or even triple in price. I love everything about this lens, definitely a top 3 purchase this year! Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Lives On My Camera
This has become my 100% go to lens. Super sharp and fast and accurate autofocus. The stabilization helped for my video and handheld long exposures. It’s a smaller lens with a huge amount of reach. 100% worth the money. Like any canon lens, it’s super easy to use. My one gripe, is extending to 28mm to use. You get used to it and it becomes a habit, but that feature makes it light and easier to transport so I get it. ... show more

  • Versatile, must own lens
A very versatile, quality native lens that can be used in a variety case of scenario. Definitely a must own for any level of photographer and videographer. Might be on the pricey side for beginners, but its absolutely worth the investment. Makes me use my other lens not as much.

  • Great value lens, try it before buying the 24-70
Labored over this lens vs. the more expensive L version and I'm very glad I saved $1500. This lens is sharp, fast, decent build quality for a non-L lens and provides vibrant colors. It's compact and lightweight, allowing me to bring along other lenses and not weigh down my pack. The zoom retracting to a locked position is annoying and makes it look cheap but I suppose this is the trade off with keeping it compact and lightweight. Highly recommend ... show more

  • Light, compact and work’s perfectly
Smaller and lighter than the 24-70mm L version. It’s worth the money in every way. I actually sold my L lens due to the extra weight. In my opinion, It’s just as sharp, stabilized well, and performs perfectly. Yes, we lose 4mm of width, but in the scheme of things, it doesn’t effect the use too much. In my case I also own a 14-35mm lens for super wide images. If I have one fault with it, it’s the expanding the lens to 28mm notch prior to being able to use the lens. I realize however that this design is why the lens can remain so compact in a backpack. It’s a very minor issue. ... show more
