I got this for a Canon RF 100-400 and it fits nicely, has a button release and functions well for what it is. Only minor ding is that inside surface of the hood is not matt color or fuzzy to deter reflected light, but that’s really minor and it functions fine as is.

I bought this lens hood for my Canon RF100-400mm F5.6-8 IS USM lens. It has a button to unlock/lock the attachment. This button allows the lens hood to go on easily yet lock in place without rattling. It has a lightly roughened black surface on the inside to lessen reflections (not a flocked coating that could rub off.) It has a red dot and a red circle with a direction line to help align the hood onto the lens. It works and looks great. A really good buy. ... show more

Fits both ways but is a little tight to remove from the the reversed position. I like that it doesn't feel cheap and the index marks are correct. Accidentally dropped the unattached hood on concrete and only had one small scratch, so good quality plastic.
