  • 10/10 would recommend
Color: Seafoam Tide Style: Weekender
This is exactly what I was looking for in a paddle board! It’s manageable to hand pump (you’ll definitely get a workout in though). The bungee in the front holds all of the things I need it to on a day out in the water! I got the weekender 2 and my paddle floats when I drop it in the water (I read other reviews saying it didn’t float)! I would definitely recommend and would definitely buy again! The backpack also distributes the weight pretty well so it’s not too bad to hike with! It’s also very sturdy to stand on in the water. ... show more

  • Love this board!
Color: Seafoam Tide Style: Weekender
Absolutely love this board! I have been paddling around on a Costco foam board for about 7 years. It's been ok, but I tried a friends board recently and realized what I was missing in a more streamlined, higher quality inflatable board. I did a ton of homework on selecting a board and landed on the Retrospec and I am SO glad I did. I don't know what the $500 plus ones feel like, but this one feels great to me. The packaging and instructions are really nice looking and very user-friendly. The user guide is well-written AND designed and the instructions are really clear. Its really lightweight and easy to manipulate, both empty and full. This is a huge upgrade from my old bulky foam board. The inflatable board comes in a carrying "backpack" and while some people might find this useful, unless I am not pulling right up to where I paddle I don't see myself using it. Most of the places I paddle let me put right in at the water. The board itself is really pretty; I love the color scheme. It has a sort of suede finish to stand on; this is a huge upgrade for me from the uncomfortable foam board. As far as the ride, this is night and day compared to my foam board. It tracks really well, is a really comfortable ride, is stable, and responsive to your movements so you can kind of guide the board with your body. I do notice a difference based on how much I have inflated the board; 15psi feels overly stiff and like the board is overinflated. I find around 12 is perfect to allow for great stability but also a little give to help you guide yourself through leaning when wanted. I DO recommend sporting for an electric pump. It was incredibly tiring and time consuming to manually inflate this the first time, and I immediately bought a pump. Once you get toward the end of filling it is a non-trivial workout as it becomes very difficult to add air, and the beginning is just so much repetition. ... show more

  • Very durable and easy to use!
Color: Creamsicle Style: Weekender
LOVE. It’s so easy to use and store since it comes with the bag! I bought an automatic inflation thing to go with it so I didn’t have to pump, but the pump is easy to use just would take longer to inflate. So easy to carry around and doesn’t take up much space in the trunk of a car!

  • Great board, horrible paddle
Color: Seafoam Ripple Style: Weekender
The spring loaded button on the paddle broke after 2 uses, and the paddle will no longer stay together.

  • Easy and lightweight
Color: Seafoam Tide Style: Weekender
My favorite purchase EVER!! My first board and very beginner friendly. It’s been to the springs and ocean with no problems. Worth every penny.

  • Just get it.
Its a bit of a workout to get it pumped up, but it does go quickly if you start with the high-flow setting and switch to high pressure once it begins to take shape. On rough waves, you can feel it being an inflatable as it bends a little. But only slightly with larger waves. This is on lake Michigan btw. Quite maneuverable and very stable. When standing the only thing that causes me to fall is my own imbalance and not at all the construction of the board. The paddle floats great so if you drop it you shouldnt be too worried about losing it. Nice and light for carrying and easy to pack up. All around a solid paddleboard. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Great way to spend the day outdoors!
After trying a friend's paddle board for the first time, I knew I had to get one of my own. The compact size of the Retrospec Weekender makes it easy to haul even in my tiny Scion. The board is stable, good quality, and comes with all the accessories you need to get started. I'll be purchasing a waterproof bag that will clip to the D-rings on the board for some extra storage, but the elastic bands on the board itself are plenty of you just have a lunchbox to bring out on the water. The hand pump was not overly difficult, but if you're not in the mood for an arm workout, get the E-pump from Retrospec too. The air valve has a special fitting and needs a certain PSI to hold properly on the water. One of the best purchases I've ever made. And buying it lightly used gave me a good discount on top of the already great price. The board also gets a second chance at being loved. Happy paddling, y'all! ... show more

  • Electric pumps aren't compatible and deflate button is hard to use but stable board
Color: Sunglow 1 Style: Weekender
There aren't any electric pumps that actually fit for this paddleboard (not even the retrospec electric pump). Customer service will just tell you to try different o-ring sizes, but to me that seems like a major design flaw and one they should fix. Also pressing the deflate button really hurts your finger and is really difficult to put it in the lock position to keep it continuously deflating. Other than those two things, the board is good and stable. ... show more
