Excellent product, well made. One issue I encountered the second day I had it on my bike. Hit a bump coming off a bridge and the basket jumped off the bike and was on the ground in front of me. That's the bad news. The good news is the basket wasn't even scratched and the contents were undamaged. The problem is the handles jumped up and the basket unhooked and went flying. The problem is easily fixed with a couple of twist ties...solved. I now keep a bungee cord stretched across the top which also helps keep anything from jumping up. All that the manufacturer needs to do is fashion some sort of clip on both sides to secure the handles. I considered 4 stars due to the flaw but it's so minor and easily avoided that I still give it 5 stars. ... show more

I really liked the basket. I liked the way it was easy to install and the size of the basket, and how easy it is to remove it from its carrier. But I discovered that my bike's geometry did not work well with this basket. The handlebar stem on my bike is too short and it made the basket. Stick out at a strange angle. That made it feel heavier than it was. I have some other bikes and it would have worked fine on them if they needed a basket, but they didn't. I don't know how you figure out if your bike has the right geometry but if your handlebar stem is fairly long and angles out over your front wheel, it will probably be great for your bike. If you have a short stem that does not angle out, it puts the basket at an odd angle and makes it have weighting issues. I was trying to put it on my ebike. You can see from the photos that the light is in the way, but that could be moved down to right above the tires. That was really not an issue. If you look at the picture with the blue arrows, you can see one arrow is straight-up-and-down. The other arrow is the angle of the basket, which is really quite tipped on my bike. On my husband's bike the handlebars angle out in such a way that it would have been fine for his bike, but he doesn't want a basket. ... show more

This is basket is pretty great as far as it's practicality and ease of use. It stays on the bike pretty well and can hold a good amount of stuff. I rode over speed bumps, various bumps in the road, etc. and only the handles popped up sometimes but didn't make the basket loose or anything. I even put a soda cup in this basket and rode home and it didn't spill. I ride to campus every day (I live in an extremely bike friendly college town) and I bring this basket sometimes when I know I'm going to pick up something on the way home. I don't take it every day because it is quite heavy and because it's detachable it's super easy for someone to just walk by and steal this basket. It's heavy and the bracket to attach it to your bike sort of pushes down the brake cables; I haven't had trouble with the breaks but it does seem like the bracket is holding them down a little. It is detachable and it's super easy to detach. You just lift the handles up and go. It's convenient if you're going to carry the basket everywhere with you but if you want to lock your bike up outside it's best to take it with you. I take my bike basket inside when I lock my bike overnight and just leave the bracket because I doubt anyone will steal that without the basket that goes with it. However, I am a little paranoid whenever i have to leave this my bike and basket outside while I'm in class. The metal itself is really sturdy and I like that it's coated so that it won't rust. My basket, however, came with some cracks in the coasting already so hopefully it doesn't fall off and expose the metal underneath. Super easy to attach to the bike, even without directions. But plenty of people have written instructions and I found their explanations helpful as well. The way it attaches makes it sort of slanted on my bike (higher in the front) but it might be the way my handlebars are attached. It doesn't bother me though and in fact makes it feel like the stuff inside my basket is safer. The metal mesh bottom in a nice touch and I like that it's higher than most other baskets with the same thing on the bottom. However, the basket itself is a little smaller than I thought it would be but it's still big enough for a not full backpack or one grocery bag. TLDR; pros: sturdy, high mesh bottom, easily detaches (for market trips), attaches easily to bike, doesn't bounce too much during the ride (can hold drinks in basket without spills), coated to resist rusting cons: heavy, detaches easily (easily stolen), bracket seems to push down brake cables (but can still use brakes) ... show more

I like the material and color but unfortunately it didn’t fit my bike. So I have to return it. I have mountain bike but I want a small basket for my bike. This basket will use your bike to hold so if your bike doesn’t strong enough or support its weight, the basket probably falls off and not stand still for you to use. I would recommend looking for basket that you can connect the basket that have their own stands maybe connect with the wheels or bike body not jut mount to your bike. ... show more
