    • Great basket, but strap broke
I love the basket and put it on my beach cruiser. The insulation is really easy and the basket itself seems very sturdy, however, the Velcro strap that is used to secure the mount to the bike broke within the first five minutes I was able to just use some zip ties which has worked very well.

I chose this basket largely because it's more spacious than many other options and with a pretty good weight capacity. I only gave three stars because, as I now see other reviews mention, if the handles bounce up (they will) when you hit a bump (you will) that action causes the otherwise really well engineered basket to spontaneously disconnect from your bike!!! First ride using it, my cell phone and water bottle hit the pavement running the bottle and damaging the phone's case. I was grateful I hadn't taken my dog along like I'd considered and that I was able to react quickly enough to avoid an actual wreck. ... show more

    • NO installation directions- difficult to figure out on your own
This thing was definitely not as easy to install like everyone is saying...lol. Even my boyfriend tried for a few minutes and couldn’t figure it out. Here are some directions, so hopefully I can save someone else from a headache... lol. First, I attached the “U” shape piece with the Velcro strap to the bike, which was fairly easy but I had to REALLY push/bend the metal to get the bars in the holes. Then it took me a while to figure out how to attach the basket. Obviously, it was clear that the two holes at the bottom of the basket fit with the two hooks on the “U” shape piece (that I had already attached to the bike). However, it was pretty difficult to get the top part connected. After a lot of struggle, I finally figured out that you have to LIFT the basket’s handles UP (both at the SAME time) in order to slide the ends of the basket’s handles into the two little holes on the “U” shape piece. It seems pretty sturdy, but I have only used it briefly. Hopefully it holds up! ... show more
