  • Great for the Person who likes Nostalgia
Great buy. Pretty easy to put together. Good quality. Actually works. Great gift.

  • Fun but challenging
The media could not be loaded. It was honestly such a challenging build but pretty to look at when completed! The lights looked so good, it plays music too but didn't have batteries for it right now. Had to use glue though because it's a fragile build as if you can't complete the set without gluing haha. It's pretty entertaining! ... show more

  • Set was a nice surprise
My first Pantasy retro set and it is a nice one. The set lights up and even plays music. The record changer even works. Would be nice if you could insert your phone and play music like the Lego Radio, but aside from that a super set. Even has a minifigure band on the inside. After building this set I am contemplating building some other retro sets, like maybe the phone or the gumball machine. Buy with confidence. ... show more

  • Awful Build
I'm an experienced builder, and no lie, this is the worst build I've ever done. So disappointed, because I loved it at first sight and was very excited to get it. But I have never seen a more convoluted build than this. Totally bizarre "techniques", if you can call it a technique. It's more like just pressing a bunch of random pieces together, and then good luck putting that contraption in the right place. The buttons that move the records work, but it's not a smooth movement. Push too hard, and the record will fly beyond the stack and get hung too far over to the left. You won't be able to get it UNstuck, bc you can't reach that area once it's built. The whole contraption needs to be raised up a smidgeon in order to clear the record stack fully. I had trouble installing the push button for the music box. In the end, I removed a piece that didn't fit well and replaced it w/ a different piece by the Big L that fit much better (bad design there). The whole thing is an overall bad design, and nothing about it was fun. I felt like I should be getting paid to assemble this. Adding to the confusion is the instructions not being as clear as they should be. One of my big gripes about Pantasy is them not putting PDF instructions online without having to fill out a form and request them by email. Ain't nobody got time for that. I don't like holding a Sears catalog in my lap while I build at my desk. It's infinitely easier to see on my monitor. I also had to return my first one and have it reshipped, because the first set had a broken piece of plastic (the large clear panel on front that you view the records through). The whole thing was way more trouble than it's worth, and I'm still debating just returning it. The one positive thing I'll give it is the lights are very pretty. It's a rainbow LED strand that morphs between colors. It plugs in by USB and has no on/off switch. So as long as it's plugged in, they're on; you have to unplug it to turn them off. Music box requires (3) LR44 button batteries that you need to buy separately. ... show more

  • Not a good build.
Never thought I would write a negative review on a Pantasy set since I have enjoyed all of them so far. This one is different. Lots of head scratching architecture and design. I am an experienced builder but some of the build steps could have been better thought out. I gave up on this one and tossed it into my parts bin. ... show more

  • A bit difficult
My son is a Lego lover, he did not love these quite as much. He said the directions were harder to follow. Once he had it put together though, he loved it and all the mechanics worked perfectly!
