So there are some quirks with this gift - there is a funny tag attached to the box for example that reads BEAUTY AND HEALTH WITH HAPPY YOU - the stickers that are included are fairly large considering I think you could cover the entire box inside and out with them. And the charging cable is a little wonky to find the right sized box for charging - but ALL THAT ASIDE - the item does exactly what it is supposed and advertised to do and minus feeling hollow or like there is nothing on the inside (which there really isnt other than a one sided motherboard) the item works flawslessly. And it is a lot of fun if you take the time to use the COAX cable that is included and upsize your screen to your television. It also comes with a remote that plugs into the game box and a light to be used with the gift box.

This is one of those gifts that is great if you have someone that is a fan of retro gaming or if you wanted to get your young child a handheld console to practice taking care of before going for the more moden, expensive options. As a pre-packed giftbox, I thought it was adorable. The tag on the outside is a very weird translation I'm assuming, but it is written nicely and has a nice sound to it, I suppose. The inside was packed with cardboard shredded paper, included some adorable cartoon stickers and an odd set of lights. Now for the handheld console itself, it is not a robust handheld gaming console (of obviously). It is very light to hold and almsot feels a bit like that flimsy plastic that could break if you drop it. It does have 800 games on it. Many of the names are ones I grew up with. I haven't had enough focus power to test all 800 games, but so far all the ones I have picked work. That being said, you are going to come across some funny modded ones. There's a weird "pokemon" one on that that has Pikachu's name on it. But it's clearly a modded level to a Mario game. Still, I was amused. Overall, good gift to give to someone that likes to game or looking for something portable to entertain themselves with.

I bought this as a gift for my brother. I like how they packaged it so nicely. The stickers printed in good quality and they does not feel cheap. I was surprised when i discovered that it has a lot of 2 player games. The games are as good as the original ones in ps1 and Atari. It is also very portable just like a phone. The best part is of course the 800 games! It feels like i got unlimited games, when i get tired of one i switch to another one that i never played. Overall, I think this is one of the best gifts for young gamers.

So this was a pretty neat thing to get, it's got alot of games preloaded onto it, it feels and looks like the real thing. But you can definitely tell it's got a little bit of input lag with the controls. The gift box it comes in is a nice touch too and overall id say it's great for the retro gamer in your life.

Bought this for two main reasons : 1) To past time during my long commutes home 2) To play some of my favorite retro games that I enjoyed as a Kid. I have over 800+ games to choose from and I’m loving every minute of this thing. The facts that it lasts all day is a huge plus !!

I'm so excited to give this to my son for his 10th birthday. He looooooves video games, including the classics, but doesn't have any handheld systems. I did open this to make sure it works, and the packaging is cute, but it's not geared toward being a birthday gift - the box reads "The best wishes to you" and there is a blank thank you card in an envelope inside. It also came with a bunch of cute stickers that look like the kind that can go on water bottles, so I'll give those to both my kids. As for the packaging, I'll likely take it out and reuse the box/filling/thank you card for a different gift! The game itself works great and I'm very glad I figured out how to turn the volume down because it was extremely loud at first and I know that would get annoying really quick lol. I have a feeling my husband and I might borrow this game from time to time to play some classics that we remember from childhood, but I don't know that our son will give us a chance - he's going to love it!

If you grew up on the GBA like me (or more like the GBC with a backlight) then you played games like Mario Bros, Spy Hunter, The Legend of Zelda, Pokemon, and Dragon's Quest. Well, I'm not gonna say this package is precisely "official" but it brags 800 games, and it kiiiiinda delivers. Sure, I can't tell you what Top Duckling, or Super Mario 10 is without clicking on it, but this super-portable GBC knockoff has it! Kidding aside, this device comes with a TV out (provided you can use RCA jacks), and a NES-like controller so you can play without actively holding the screen. That's gonna be important if you EVER plan on beating Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or Ninja Gaiden. It also has a fun little pack of stickers for fun! It's a pretty slick little gift, and I bet with a little bit of effort I could hack whatever ROMS into this I might want. Just don't tell Nintendo...
