Insist on WTB-732 for True Stereo. * Other products may share a similar look, but only WISCENT houses a true dual-speaker system inside the WTB-732. Competitors often use a basic mono speaker, resulting in flat sound with no real stereo separation. For authentic spatial audio, ensure you're getting the only model with a genuine stereo system: WISCENT WTB-732. The description says radio is mono, but other sources are stereo. What does that mean for sound quality? That's correct. This is due to the nature of the audio sources. AM/FM/SW radio broadcasts in mono. while Bluetooth, USB, SD Card, and Cassette playback deliver full stereo sound. Customize your experience with Bass/Treble controls. I have a large collection of old tapes. Is there a risk of it damaging them? The player is designed with a standard and reliable cassette mechanism. It should not damage your tapes when used properly. We always recommend ensuring your tapes are not stuck, melted, or severely damaged before playing them. What can I record with this cassette player? This vintage style boombox is versatile. you can record radio, Bluetooth audio, USB audio or voice directly to blank cassette.(Please note: Transfers maintain original audio quality without enhancement and may introduce slight distortion.) Can I convert my cassette tapes to MP3 files with this boombox? Yes! Insert a USB drive with existing music files (format FAT32) to activate USB mode. Then press USB(REC) recorder to convert tapes to MP3s saved directly to your drive. Note: An empty USB drive will default to Bluetooth mode, preventing recording.

You know, it ain't that bad, pretty good actually.
Color: Black
Surprising, actually. Look, it is an El Cheapo boombox. It won't take you back like it's 1984, but for what it is, I like it. It has an AC plug for 120 VAC power, a DC 9V connection that can be used with a external DC battery pack/solar panel, a slot for 4 'D' size batteries, and two slots for protected 18650 cells (that charge from AC) but are not included. The tape, USB/microSD and Bluetooth are all stereo, AM/FM/SW1+2 are mono. Has an earphone jack that is also stereo sans the radio. There are hisses and hums, so don't expect studio quality, and though tape playback will auto stop, FF/Rew will not. What is surprising is the Short Wave receiver. At night, in the outdoor hot tub, I scan the bands (by rotating the tuning knob) and listening for occupied frequencies. Some pull in strong and others not so much. I have listened for hours to some pretty whack conspiracy theories while soaking in the warm water. I have other radios with scanning and memory recall, but the manual tuning gives a sense of nostalgia. The sound is pretty good with bass and treble controls. Headphones work best. 18650 batteries last a long time at medium volume. There are no lights (except for the Bluetooth LED), so you don't know if the frequency is tuned or if the batteries are low. The price is on par with what you get. It is better than meh. And for me, if it gets dunked in the pool, I won't shed that much of a tear. I would, however, buy another. ... show more

Good tape deck with good recording!
Color: Teal
This is great, I like being able to made tapes from my digital mp3 and wav files yes it works with Wav files which isn’t mentioned so five stars for me and it is great and feels great good design for the price it is doing amazing things for me. It has old style knobs for volume and radio you can play directly from the usb I will say make sure the files are organized well because there is no display for the song or files it will just play down the line of your digital music so make sure you make them alpha or numerical the names, but that is my main use since I make songs with Ai I wanted to make tape cassettes of my music not the easiest but for this price well worth it. It plays the tapes great some audio loss but I think that is just how tapes are been years since I played music with them so I am happy. It does play old tapes well. ... show more

Multi defective right out of box
Color: Teal
It's pretty. Left speaker didn't work. And the volume...it was stuck on 3/4. It wouldn't go down. Zero quality control. Been having lots of quality issues with purchases lately. Might start going to stores again. Next day update: So, I simply chose to have amazon send me another one. When I hit this option, it said that my new item would be shipped the next day. I returned the original item within 2 hours of getting the defective one with a copy sent to my email. Today, I have a red notice that says approval is needed by me. There was a approval box to click on. And it said that there is no delivery date set at this time. And one will be sent to me. Yeah...this all just got way to complicated to have a new workable item sent to me. So, I cancelled the order entirely and I'll go to Menards and spend ten dollars more and be done with it. I'm not going thru all these hoops for a defective item. I still love amazon, but theyve lost my sale for a first time by being to complex. I dont understand what they are doing and Ive never had this problem before. Maybe they dont believe the orignal item was truly defective. If so, they will have the item very soon and can verify the issue. But, first sale ever lost to amazon by me. I gave up. Better luck next time I'm sure. ... show more

Good for me
Color: Black
I bought this cause i'm a Gen X er, born in 1970. I like this boombox, perfect for my garage and exactly has all the features of old plus bonus new stuff like blue tooth. It's loud enough too. That's enough for me.
