Complete junk and waste of my time. The most I could get out of it is .4 watts. That's point four watts folks, on high setting. That's it and it was brand new right out of the box. Tested with both dummy load and again with Antenna at a 1.03 SWR. Looks nice and has some nice features, but don't plan on transmitting with it. About as far as you will get is next door. Skip this brand and buy a more reputable brand. I recommend Midland. ... show more

This is a nice little CB radio for your truck or hunting blind/cabin. Of course, a radio is only as good as the antenna its paired with, so get a quality one. I agree that this little unit is a bit underpowered. I got 1.2 watts paired with my firestik with a SWR of 1.2 on channel 19. The mike is light making it feel cheap but the audio is excellent to and from the radio at reasonable distances. A solid choice. ... show more

    • My own CB, but does it work?
I plugged this in and turned it on but after cycling through all the channels, I never heard any activity. It has volume and was definitely changing channels, but there isn't anything to confirm that I was reaching anyone. The instructions were limited. I was about a mile from the freeway, so I would think I would have come across some activity in an urban area. I don't have much experience with CBs, so it is possible that I am missing something, but I could hear noise, just no activity on any channel. I'll keep trying in different settings. Works great. Super simple to use. Display is big. I wish it got a little more dim for driving at night. But overall, a decent radio. I didn't check the power output. But it seems to be pretty average. Seems to be decent quality. I think, for the money, it is a decent option. I don't know how "modifiable" it is. But for average use, it is great.
