Works as described with a reasonable tolerance on temperature (+/-2 or 4). Fairly accurate. The programming SEEMS more complicated than it is, but the instructions help that along. Just set the real time, t1 - daytime and corresponding temp, t2 - night time and corresponding temp. Easy. The screen is also well lit and easy to read (my living room has bad lighting). VERY good buy for the price point. Would recommend easily.

Works great. The only thing I would change is I wish I could set the nighttime temperature to be lower than 68 degrees. Otherwise it’s a great product. Also keep in mind this product will not work with a heat lamp that has a dimmer built in. I had to replace mine with one that doesn’t have a dimmer.

We had been using an on/off thermostat for some time but were dissatisfied with how the temperatures would fluctuate so much. An online group recommended a dimming thermostat. This one had dimming, a day/night feature, and was reasonably priced. We hooked it to our ceramic heating element and it has worked great so far. It keeps her tank at a nice 85 during the day and 68 at night, and the gecko seems to appreciate it!

This thing works great! Keeps temps consistent to what it is set at. Set it and forget it, allowing me to keep the temps just right for my leopard gecko!

Great thermostat for setting day and night temps! My only issue is that when you unplug it or it loses power, the clock resets to 8am no matter what it was set to before. That can be bad if your house loses power at night, and then the thermostat cranks it up to 90 degrees because it thinks it’s morning time.

With the length of the chord, prob and source input it important to map out for best placement so you have enough reach for everything. If you already have a reptile enclosure completely set up with a basking area already established, make sure that the lengths of everything will meet you needs. You want to plug this unit directly into a wall outlet and not use any type of extension chord for safest use and best possible performance. I like this one because it allows you to set temperature caps for both night and day, which we have one reptile that uses a supplemental heat bulb in the winter moths and it is used both night and day while the other bulbs turn off at night. Invest in a heat gun if you are using this to regulate heat on a piece of slate. It won’t give you the most accurate reading for the surface temps of the slate so you will have to adjust the prob temperature to make sure the heat bulb is dimming properly to keep the slate to the right temperature. In other instances the prob gives nearly continuous accuracy within 1-2 degree variables.

It took me a minute to understand the readout and how to program it. Once past that it’s a reliable thermostat and I like that it has a readout that shows more than the temp reading from the probe.
