This is a great substrate for our bearded dragon. It is easy to clean up and provides a nice natural setting for her. We haven’t had any issues with smell, mold, or anything else really. It's not dry like it's described to be.

The description said it was dry and water can be added to increase humidity. When I opened the box the bag had obvious condensation inside. For my purpose I needed dry substrate. I mixed it with a good bit of sphagnum moss and put a fan over it for 12 hours, stirring every every or so. Still wet. Now I'm laying it all flat on a table outside in the sun (93 degree temps) and after a couple hours it's still wet. I was hoping to be able to use it on a Saturday but now it's Monday and I still can't use it yet. It appears to be clean and the right texture.
