  • Great fit
Size: 16 Feet
Was more than we expected. The description is accurate. It goes on easily, creates a firm seal, and has great durability. My husband and I got this on in less than 10 minutes.

  • Do yourself a favor
Size: 9 Feet
Clean the channels well with a toothbrush to remove all debris, dirt and particles that will interfere with the installation. Then, spray a light coating of silicone spray in the tracks and wipe off the excess. This will save you a lot of effort and make the installation a breeze, something I wish I had done from the start instead of using soapy water which was not helpful. The weather seal is of very good quality and flexible, which makes it easy to work with and install. It has plenty of length left over to fold the ends over for a neat installation. I don't know how it compares to the original door seal because when I purchased my home, the seal was missing but this replacement is a quality product. I'm happy that my garage is now well-sealed. ... show more

  • A little tuff
Size: 16 Feet
Well it was the right size for my door. The door was about 50 years old. But with a soap and water and 2 people it was installed.

  • Came fast and easy to install
Size: 9 Feet
Had to order this after buying a “T” shaped one and finding out that garage doors have two possible shapes for the insert. Just make sure to use wd40 or some kind of grease or oil or something to lube it enough to slide in and some pliers if you can’t grip it enough to pull along the track

  • A little stiff at first. Did soften after a couple of days.
Size: 16 Feet
The seal was a little stiff at first and didn't sit on the floor closing small gaps due to unevenness of the concrete floor. (The house was built in 1971.) It did soften in a couple of days and fit to the floor. Be sure to clean and spray some silicone on the groves. It took two people to install. One to feed and the other to pull. ... show more

  • Fits Overhead Door brand with this type of bottom weatherseal
Size: 16 Feet
We have an 11 year old Overhead Door brand 16 ft 4 panel metal door. Original bottom weatherseal had become brittle, cracked and separated. Checked OH door website and found replacement seal at a reasonable price but shipping costs were more than the seal itself. Found this site with similar seal configuration - flat with one side smooth and one side ribbed, and with small bulbs on each edge - for 2/3 the price and minimal shipping cost. Shipping was prompt and new seal installed easily. Three items to be aware of: 1) my door seal track was crimped on each end to hold the seal in place... I had to open up the crimps with flathead screwdrivers before I could remove the old seal and install the new seal, 2) after removing the old seal, clean the track slots of any debris or corrosion, 3) use a light amount of WD40 or other lube in the tracks to help the new seal slide in easily... I tried to slide it with dry tracks and the rubber bound up and twisted. The lube makes it a one person job, although you do have to be careful guiding it in the tracks to prevent it from jamming. I actually worked from one side and pushed the seal across, forming the bulb with one hand and pushing it down the track with the other. Slow and careful work, but no real problem. Just remember to crimp each end of one of the tracks to keep the seal from walking to one side (don't need to crimp both tracks, just both ends of one track). Also, by pushing the seal I did not stretch it (as would have happened if I pulled it across). I think this kept it relaxed and I don't expect it to "shrink" over time as it might if it was stretched during installation. Good luck! ... show more

  • It's just not as good as the OEM product
Size: 16 Feet
My original door gasket (gray piece in attached photo) held up for nearly 18 years and finding a replacement wasn't difficult but they all seemed to be a little off. The choice I made (the one reviewed here and shown in black in the photo) was adequate but the primary retention feature is the edge that engages with the bottom of the door. It was undersized and in spots during installation would come out of the track. I have no idea if the piece will stay in place over time or not. It's a sloppy fit. I predict there is no 18th anniversary to look forward to with this product. ... show more
