I was a little worried about buying something that wasn't very expensive. Our remote had given up the ghost from our 2014 Sony Bravia. But the reviews sounded like it might be worth a try. It's worth every penny and works like a charm and is exactly like the original.

Yooo! Aight! Hear me out! This controller is cheap! Like...less than 15 bucks cheap. And it's not made by Sony (The original manufacturer). And it feels cheap! So why did I give it 5 stars across the board? The attention to detail! It looks just like the original. But the feel is completely different! Every button is clicky. And has a satisfying sound and feel when you press it. Idk if this is just me, but AI love clicky controllers. And this one is responsive. Way more than the original remote that came with the TV. So yes, this controller is cheap. No, it is not the original one. BUT it feels better than the og one and is functionally better. ALSO, the setup was insanely quick. I did not have to input a TV code or anything. Literally just pointed at the TV, pressed a button and voila! The minute this controller gets messed up I'm reordering it, especially at this price...unless I get a better TV in the future. (SONY TVs are lowkey trash)

These don’t work on the Apple TV. They are only set up for infrared technology like a regular remote. You’re better off just using your IPhone. They are a good solid product that will work on your regular TV, just not the Apple. So, if you’re looking to replace your Apple TV remote, this ain’t the one that’ll do it for you. Keep searching.

OK, this works. But...it's not an exact replacement. It takes AAA batteries, not a rechargeable remote. There is no microphone to do voice/Siri commands. It is thicker than the Apple Remote, and it is chap plastic, not metal. Does it work? Yes. A spare? Ok. But since I lost my original remote... I will suck it up and buy an original one again anyway, because after using the "real one," this one is just cheap. It mocks me, LOL.
