  • Solid replacement/upgrade pen for the money
This pen is pretty nice. I bought it to replace the basic one that came in my kindle. I have a first gen kindle scribe. So far, after a week or more of use no issues and full functionality. Eraser is very convenient. It is slightly shorter than the standard pen and a little lighter as well. I have a clear rubber case around my kindle with a spot for the pen and the magnets don't line up exactly so the case just kind of holds it in place but I can live with that. Over all happy with the purchase. Great value for the money. Responsiveness seems to be the same as the standard pen. ... show more

  • A Very Good Replacement
Color: White
I haven't had my Scribe for long, but my teenagers managed to lose the stylus. Since they did not have the financial means to replace it with an OEM stylus, I needed a quick replacement. This pen seems to be a bit better than the original stylus (in my opinion), because it has a better hand feel and I like the eraser on the end. I believe that this stylus will serve me well, until the teenagers earn the monies to replace the original. ... show more

  • Scratchy nib. Long EMR stylus with eraser.
I used this with the Remarkable 2 tablet. The nib is more scritchy than typical lead on paper. Not quite paperlike, but definitely more like a pencil than a pen. Accuracy feels great, haven't noticed any issue even when tilting the pen a lot. The side button doesn't do anything on the Remarkable 2. The pen just keeps writing like normal. It is recognized on my Windows tablet as a right click. The eraser is the springy type, with a hard plastic cap. It only requires a small movement, about 0.7mm so it feels pretty natural. It can work at an angle, but it seems to not erase as completely. Much better when used perpendicular to the tablet. The magnets attach well to the Remarkable in the upper right position. They aren't a perfect match (see magnet viewing film photo). It has a rounded triangular grip. One of the flats (button side) extends the whole length so it won't roll off a table easily. Finish is smooth, but the matte surface makes it a tiny bit grippy. Really happy with the black/orange/green color scheme. Not a great match for the Remarkable, but it still looks slick. It weighed 15.7g. A hair more than the regular Marker (15g), but less than the Marker Plus (19g). Feels well balanced. ... show more

  • not just for scribe
I recently got a Viwoods AIPaper mini and wanted to try some after-market pens to go with it. I am more than pleased with the TNRV pen. Coming in at about 2 mm longer than the pen that came with my AIPaper Mini, it feels very similar in the hand. The factor that sets this pen apart from some of the others I have tried is the button. To my knowledge, most if not all of the pens that come with paper tablets have a button that does something, but many of the after-market pens do not have the button. I have grown used to using the button for erasing and found myself lost without it. That makes this pen my new favorite! The button is a bright orange spot just about an inch from the writing tip. The only thing I would change regarding the button is that on another portion of the barrel of the pen is an angular side, just like where the button sits. This confuses my hand sometimes, as I like to use the button without looking and having an additional beveled spot makes me have to look sometimes. The purpose of this spot seems to be to assist with a better grip on the pen, but I find it distracting. Still, I am happy to have the button. If you use a Kindle Scribe, this button can be programmed for other things, but I appreciate that it still functions in a default eraser setting on other devices. Now the deficiencies. While the pen is magnetically bound to the notebook, it is not nearly as strong as the original pen that came with it. I can click the original pen on and give the notebook a little shake and it will stay put. Not the case with the TNRV. It will click on, but any substantial jostling will knock it right off. Still, my notebook comes with a case and I am never without it, and that case has a loop. Use it! The pressure sensitivity and the tilt sensitivity - I only noticed differences in strokes with the ballpoint pen and the pencil. For both of these there were noticeable differences in thickness as well as the line itself. The other writing implement options showed no noticeable difference in the final line result. The eraser is push-button style, very similar to the pen my notebook came with and I was able to erase things written with other pens. I found the paper-feel of the writing to be the same with both the TNRV and the original Viwoods pen, though the eraser felt different when using while yielding the same erased results. I also found alignment to be spot on; if I aimed to write on the lines I succeeded without any adjustment. Speaking of the eraser end, I have found that it functions as a stylus would on my Z Fold 6 (interior screen only), as well as my Samsung Notebook 9 Pro laptop. While the writing end works on my Notebook 9 Pro, it does not on the Z Fold. In short, this is my new go to pen for my AIPaper mini. It does everything the original pen does but feels just a little better in my smaller hands. ... show more

  • Great third-party replacement pen for the Kindle Scribe
Color: Gray
I tested this replacement pen with my Kindle Scribe. The pen is a great deal at less than half the price of an official replacement, and it's easy to use since it's ready-to-go out of the box. Writing with it feels good, not excessively light or heavy, mimicking the feel of pencil on paper. The tips are easily replaced, and you get extras. Functionally, it writes well, requiring minimal pressure to start drawing. I tested the pen in pencil mode, and it works as expected: tilting the pen gives wide strokes that darken with pressure, while holding the pen upright results in dark, narrow strokes. The pen behaves exactly as I would expect. You should note that not all EMR pen-using devices have the same sensitivity. The Kindle Scribe is a little less sensitive than the Remarkable 2. If you try to use a pen designed for the Scribe on the Remarkable 2, it might create marks just by hovering over the display or create darker than expected lines; whereas if you try to use a pen designed for the Remarkable 2 on the Scribe, you will have to press slightly harder to get it to start drawing. I also tried this pen with my Remarkable 2, but the results were poor: one night it was drawing before touching, next morning I had to touch the screen with the pen but the lines were dark, so be sure to get a pen that matches the device you are planning to use. ... show more
