This unit is very user friendly. Install is a piece of cake and comes with everything necessary to immediately put in action. I installed this at a commercial property to add a level of security. They work great with the phone app and I can get notices anytime something is picked up by the cameras. I can review video footage on my phone perfectly. So far system is great. Connects easy. Takes a little time to learn these. First off depending what you want to do with system. I got a poe switch and plugged cameras into it. Then I only need to plug NVR to modem. I think it would have been better to buy pieces separately. Cameras are d1200 you could buy the 1224a and use more automation like Alexa to see cameras Or Roku tv to display cams in all rooms v.s 1 room. You tube has some great videos on how to set these up nice. Cameras are great otherwise and send push notifications if it alarms. Night vision is very good too. Do a little research first but I highly recommend the brand. App is free and nice. ... show more

    • Best system I've owned so far!
This is the 3rd surveillance system I've installed at my house in the last 10 years. The first was a DVR system with analog cameras. The 2nd system was a lower end NVR system that was an upgrade, but THIS Reolink system blow them both out of the water! First, the video quality is on par with watching a movie in HD. The Reolink app has so many useful functions, I'm still learning what they all do. The ability to filter the playback by human, vehicle, or animal is amazing. If I want to see greater detail (license plate) during live viewing, or playback, I can increase the resolution to get a clearer picture. I didn't realize how much of a deterrent the motion-activated spotlight was until I walked across my driveway at night and it lit everything up. Anyone within range will KNOW they are on camera! You can also increase the speed up to 16X to reduce playback review time. The 2TB hard drive holds 5 days worth of footage from 4 cameras. If this had been my 2nd system, there would have been no need for a 3rd! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. My experience is very mixed with this Reolink system. The four cameras are enough for most homes. Let me start with the good side: 1. The video footage is really sharp and clear 2. Installation was fairly easy 3. High-tech features like human, car, and animal notification 4. Well-designed app and user friendly 5. All the smart features and schedule 6. Built-in spotlight and alarm sound which will turn on automatically for motion detection The cons will be : 1. Pricy compared to others 2. Not so much rainproof which will cost constant reboot. 3. The ethernet cable will burn if water gets in. 4. I got two of four stopped working within two weeks. ... show more

Love this camera system so far i hooked up permanent moniter for cameras very little lag great picture quality love the spot lights so color videos at night are clear Finally feel like i can have 24 hr survalence with quality pictures

    • NVR did not work out of the box.
I bought on sale. It did not work out of the box. Amazon offered a credit but not an exchange. Since it is no longer on sale I wanted an exchange. I called Reolink this morning. After being on hold for 40 minutes , tech support picked up. I knew more about troubleshooting than the tech. He was reading a script that made no sense. Finally he said that I will hear from their warranty support. The day is over and so far, I have not heard anything. I will give them another day before I return the system to Amazon for a refund. I can always find another product that works. The problem is not that I received a defective product, that can happen. It is that Amazon says this product does not qualify for an exchange, only a refund. Since it was on sale, returning and buying another at a 20% higher price does not make sense. ... show more

First NVR and first POE system… love it! Has all the quality and performance rivaling any other system out. Added on the 180 dual lens and couldn’t be happier!
