  • Works as advertised
Size: 10 Amp
Simple hookup with bare wires. Seems to be working fine. Should have spent a few dollars more and gotten the 20A version instead of 10A

  • It charges lithium batteries
Size: 10 Amp
Received it recently so don't know about its longevity, but so far it has worked great. It's connected to two 160 solar panels, which are connected in series. So far, the input voltage has not gotten above 40 volts, which is well within the range of the 52 volts max input voltage of the charger. The battery it maintains is a 20A 12 volts Lithium type battery. Installation is simple; connect the battery and then the solar charger. It comes with a small clear and precise manual; a PDF manual can also be downloaded. Pros; it's easy to make adjustments, including selecting battery type, thanks to the included manual. When first plugged in, at least in my case, AGM battery was selected...perhaps its default setting. Cons; does no have a load input connection, so the load must be connected to the battery. This requires a separate switch to turn the load on/off. So far it has worked and I recommend it. ... show more

  • Waterproof and good LCD monitor
Size: 10 Amp
This charge controller works well. I just wish it charged more than ten amps because I can only use one large solar panel because of its limitations.

  • Does exactly what it says
Size: 10 Amp
Great charge controller - had it for 3 years now, absolutely reliable, does what it says

  • If using in a marine environment, make sure to mount it
Size: 10 Amp
I am using this controller with a 10 watt solar panel to charge my trolling motor battery. If is working flawless at this time. I used a similar controller before but I did not mount it to the hull, and the heat did not dissipate correctly and ruined it.

  • Controller is sealed and waterproof!
Size: 10 Amp
Well made easy to setup and most importantly instructions were user friendly!

  • Ok for what it is, stripped down features to make it waterproof
Size: 10 Amp
As with most of these, it can be hard to connect the wires to hold in moving around situations. My friend is using it for camping with a panel that gets setup at camp. Wires pulled out during first setup. Told him how to make it more reliable with the wires. i.e. longer strip and wrap around....

  • 4 bad controllers, really?
Size: 10 Amp
My original Renogy solar suitcase (purchased in 2015) stopped working over 2 years ago so I decided to replace the controller used on it with a new one, a Renogy Wanderer 10A controller (1st replacement controller). It worked for about 1 month before it broke and the suitcase stopped working again, then I decided to upgrade to the Renogy Voyager 20A waterproof controller (2nd replacement controller). It lasted about 6 months, but with some wonky results. Then it also stopped working and I contacted Renogy who sent me another Voyager controller (3rd replacement controller). This one lasted one day and I contacted Renogy again. This time they wanted some videos and photos of the problem, and they wanted the controller returned for testing. The results were that the controller was bad again, and again they sent me another Voyager controller (4th replacement controller) which never worked. Now I am thinking all of the controllers cannot be bad, the problem must be in the solar panels themselves (voltage spike?), or some bad wire continuity. So I take the whole unit in to Renogy and they said they would check it out. After a month of testing they tell me the controller is bad, and they need some info for the warranty for replacement. I explain the situation again about going through 4 new controllers and that something else must be going on to make them all burn out. They do some further testing, but now they tell me the solar panels and the controller are just fine, and they want to ship the unit back to me, lol. After depending on this for power for the last two years when going into remote areas, and having it work less than 25% of the time, with 4 different new controllers, I finally gave up and told them I do not want the unit back, but thank them for their help. I left a negative review on the original Wander replacement controller 2 years ago (1st replacement controller) and was thinking of removing it because I had thought that the solar panels must be causing all these problems. But after being told everything is fine with the controller, I felt I must leave the review as is, and also to warn others of the poor use of the Voyager controller as a replacement on the suitcase through this review. One thought I had is that the battery bank used in my RV might be bad, but I have two other Renogy suitcases that work perfectly with it. I also use a Battery Tender to charge my batteries when camping in remote areas me (plugged into a Bluetti power station, charged by a Jackery solar panel), when my solar suitcase fails me. The Renogy Voyager controller just does not work very long, if at all. The exception to this is a power station I built myself with the Voyager controller seems to work fine (see photo). I guess the controllers just really do not like the Renogy suitcases, lol. ... show more
