I’ve been researching portable solar panels to use with my small camping trailer to keep my battery charged. I want to be able to park in the shade with the panels in the sun. I’m familiar with the Renogy brand but their earlier suitcase combo struck me as awkwardly heavy. I also wanted the controller near the battery, not mounted on the panel. Then came along this newer generation panel. It’s less than half the weight and quite reasonably priced. I paired it with a Renogy controller. I’ve only tested it in my driveway but it appears to perform as expected. And of course it’s waterproof. The unit seems solid and well made and comes with a well padded case. It is lightweight and easy to set up. I’m quite happy with the decision go with this one. I see reviews for this panel and others (various brands) saying they don’t put out the rated power. My understanding is that panels are tested and rated under standard optimal conditions enabling comparisons between panels and brands. They will not produce that level under real world conditions. I do know that this panel has a high efficiency rating compared with earlier models and others I looked at. ... show more

I'm getting 79 watts on a noon sunny day, not 100 rated watts. I like the package. It should really come with a 2ft MC4 to XT60 adapter so it works right away with most Solar Power Station.
