Works great for its purpose to connect a charge controller to the battery (on in my case to a bus bar). It would be nice if the wires came with two red strips of tape to help identify the positive wire once installed. But I had some red electrical tape that did the job.

I am editing my post see original below, I received a timely response about this issue. They are correcting this quality control issue. I am not receiving a refund or replacement of the item, nor am I looking for such. I first rated them 1 star, I am now rating it 5 stars, as I believe this will not be an issue in the future. so I received my package in a timely manner when the package arrived it was well packaged, the outside of the package showed no sign of damage. The cable itself is good, but the ring connectors are cheap and poorly crimped. One of the connectors was not even on the cable just loose in the bag that it was packaged in, I saw the ring connector was crimped down somewhat but obviously not enough. While inspecting the cables there were no nicks or scratches on the cable sheathing but half the wire strands on the other ring connector that was connected were not even crimped in to the connector. I ended up having to purchase quality ring connectors and crimping them on properly. If this is any indication of the quality control of Renogy products, I would have to recommend to stay clear of Renogy when purchasing solar equipment. ... show more

I bought this to charge an external battery with my solar on my RV. Super easy to hook up and set the other battery outside the RV and charge it with the solar panels. Super easy to hook up install and run off and on as I need it. Renogy makes great products I went with all renogy products to install solar on my RV and I would buy the same product again and again. So, it's not hard to add some red heat shrink at both ends of one wire for a connection that must be polarized, but how hard can it be to sell a set with one red wire and one black wire? Had I looked more carefully at the picture, I'd have made up a set myself. Nice cables, ends well installed, definitely a quality product and such, but...both are black! ... show more

As described. Ring terminals make connections on the battery posts so much easier. Well coated, appears durable. Would be nice if they came in different colors to indicate the polarity. Overall Iโ€™m pleased.
