  • Durable, mountable, very nice size
Size: 200W N-Type Solar Panel
Purchased to mount on a small camper trailer, out of the box it was getting 180w even on a sub-optimal angle. The aluminum framing is very sturdy- and even double-walled which is very useful if you're drilling through it and attaching fittings. The corners are solid reinforced as well. After mounting on an adjustable tilt mount my father in law and I made it was still rocking a near perfect capture wattage. In slight cloud cover it was still getting 120w at again, sub-optimal angles. in pure sun it was touching 190w. ... show more

  • Good Looking Panels but Don't Order 2-pack
Size: 100W 2-Pack N-Type Panel
These are clean looking panels with strong aluminum frames and durable glass fronts. Their small size and reduced weight is a plus for portable or easy to handle panels (they weigh in at 13 lb each). They are boxed in suitcase-type boxes with a carrying strap at the top. Not much protection is provided by the boxing (the panel front is very close to the box surface) but mine arrived in great shape with no visible damage to the shipping boxes or panels within, in-part thanks to the heavier cardboard used in construction of the boxes. My only complaint is that a 2-pack goes for $239 and I discovered after the fact that single panels are $114 so single panels are cheaper than when bought in pairs. That was a disappointment so next time I will stick to ordering multiples of single panels. Wiring was pretty much standard, dressed well with good looking junction boxes and connectors, and good long leads. Each panel uses 30 cells to achieve an open circuit voltage of 22.8 Volts and a short circuit current of 5.31A. Have yet to test these under full sun, but reported results look good and all cells are pristine with the 16BB featured charge gathering grid, as advertised. These are well worth the value ($114 per panel) and will work nicely in any small to medium solar power system with add-on panels easy to fit due to panel size. ... show more

  • Top quality from Renogy. For a 50w unit,.
Size: 50W Solar Panel
Quality unit for an excellent price! I tested the unit with my 12v 100ah battery box with a Victron 75/15 charge controller. I got 21v open circuit voltage with about 2.45a shorted current snd measured 42w at the charge controller. Excellent performance! Although I started at about 97% battery, I hit 100% in about 30 minutes! I'll be testing more as I deplete the battery, but as a start, I'm totally satisfied. ... show more

  • Fantastic, pumps even in the shade.
Size: 50W Solar Panel
This is a great quality solar panel. I have had a few other small trickle panels and a cheap flexible plastic one (total waste of money) and I am really impressed with the power and quality of this panel. It is really too strong for a trickle panel, but i find I can put it in the shade and it works fine with less power and it will totally charge up a "dead" car battery in no time (paired with a cheap charge controller, made mobile safe by hot glue gunning wiring points). I bought a panel this strong because I got a great sale price on it. Very worth it. Small enough to be portable and easily moveable and will fit on my dash even and large enough to really kick ass, charge up a lead acid battery and all my 5 volt usb lights and devices. Great for camping. My only problem with this panel on the onset was that it came with Renology MC4 connectors attached and I had trouble deciding whether to buy more of those or rip off the MC4 connector and just convert to 12 volt automotive water proof connector I already had on hand. For my uses, I was better off without the MC4 (a waterproof rating not size rating) I decided, and I finally pried them off and converted to the 12 volt auto connector, but the psychological block really impacted my project. ... show more

  • Should be marketed as 85 Watt Panels
Size: 100W N-Type Panel with 1 Set Z Brackets
I am an electrical engineer, so take that into consideration for my review. These are my first solar panels, for my first solar project. I bought 1 of these panels to run my 12V attic fans, a perfect match since they draw more power when the sun is brighter (and the attic gets hotter). The fans draw about 7 amps at 12 Volts maximum. (85 Watts). Realized I needed more power so added a second panel. Paired them up with a cheap PWM controller where I learned that you cannot hook the panels up in series if you have a PWM controller. Also using a 20 Ah Eco Worthy battery. Swapped the PWM out for a Victron MPPT controller. Really worth the extra money. I am in Central Florida, and on a Bright sunny day in July, the most I have ever seen out of these panels is about 85 watts. This is measured at both the load and at the panels, so it includes about 5 watts loss in the wires. Not sure what it would take to get 100 watts our of these. Otherwise, they seem to work well. They come in a convenient size, and you could probably fit one on your SUV roof rack. They appear to be relatively durable. All in all, they will do the job for me. Prices seem volatile so you may want to keep an eye out for discounts. I am going to buy a larger battery to go with these panels. ... show more

  • New N-type high efficiency photovoltaic panels
Size: 100W Single Panel
I buy a lot of solar panels and have been working with solar energy since 1992. These N-type cells offer some significant advantages and represent another step forward with their increased efficiency and promise of less degradation in year one, which can be significant. They also tend to produce a bit more energy in hot weather than do traditional PERC mono crystalline cells. Not a huge difference, but then again these panels are priced very well at 80¢ per watt right now. This is orders of magnitude cheaper than conventional panels 20 years ago, and with higher efficiency. Upon inspection they look great, they were packed very well in strong boxes, and they put out slightly better than 100 watts as specified in my testing. Try them, you will not be disappointed. ... show more

  • By it
Size: 200W N-Type Solar Panel
Renogy is a company that can be trusted. Great product. Now that I have the Shadowflux, a much better panel. Renogy keeps innovating. I like this product and others like the Shadowflux are above all others.
