  • Love this thing
My cousin has one in her room and I wanted the same exact one she has. This is it! The size is okay, it’s a lil big but it’s worth it. The tubing I wish was smaller because the unit itself doesn’t go flat up against the wall. The noise is not disturbing whatsoever. Temperature control is nice and accurate and steady, and it has a night mode and timer which is nice, AND comes with a remote. It being “refurbished” shouldn’t scare anyone away. It looks and works brand new to me, blows out nice cold air, and keeps our room nice and cool! Our bedroom is 130 square feet for measurement. ... show more

  • Nevada Summer heat is BEAT!
We needed to replace our bedroom AC because the one we had was ancient and started overheating itself. This little guy has been running non-stop in Nevada desert heat for almost four months with no sign of stopping, keeping our (roughly) 10x15 bedroom around 75 degrees the whole time, on the few slightly cooler nights it even managed to get cool enough (under 70) for the auto to shut off the fan. Excellent purchase, seems sturdy, hopefully we get a few summers out of it. ... show more

  • Good solution for upstairs room with vaulted ceiling
I bought this for the upstairs bedroom in my 1 1/2 story house. It's the hottest room in the house, and we have hot summers, so sleeping up there in summer was miserable. I have a brand new HVAC system in the house, but it's just hard to cool down an upstairs bedroom with vaulted ceilings. My HOA doesn't allow a window a/c unit, so I was looking for an alternative that wouldn't break the bank. Set-Up: This unit was easy to set up and worked right out of the box - nothing to put together on the unit aside from snapping in the hose to the back. It came with the window venting kit and all hardware and foam insulation to get a good seal for the vent hose in the window. It took me less than 30 minutes to get the window kit installed, and that included cleaning my window and window sill. Then you just snap on the hose and turn it on. There's a handy YouTube video to help you figure this out, but honestly it is pretty intuitive. Window venting: I vented the hose out of a small narrow window, so the width of my window (23 inches) made using the enclosed window sliders tricky. Using just one slider was too short by about 4 inches, but adding the second slider meant it overlapped the hole cut-out for the hose, so I had to cut down the second slider. This was just one cut and easy to do with a miter saw, but it won't even be necessary if you choose a normal size window to vent your hose instead of using a narrow window like I did. I was just trying to avoid using the casement windows for the hose, and the narrow window was the only double-hung window in that bedroom. Size: The hardest part was getting it up the stairs. While it's on wheels snd easy to move around, it is heavy and bulky. My son helped me carry it up the steps, which made it much easier. Once it was upstairs, it sat in the corner and did its job without taking up much room. Function: So far, it works great. It cools off the bedroom so it's much more comfortable up there. It's quieter than a box fan, even with the fan turned up to the highest setting, but still blows cold air with a strong amount of pressure. The remote control is easy to use. We haven't tried the dehumidifier function yet. It does need to be drained of water every few days, but this is easy to do. Again, there's a handy YouTube video to show you how to do this and clean the filters, but if you can drain a cooler, you can drain this unit. Just unscrew the knob and remove the drain plug so it drains into a bucket or drain pan - takes about 60 seconds to do. While I was a little leery of buying a refurbished model, this has worked great so far. It was shipped in original packaging and appeared brand new with all stickers and packing tape still on it. And it was way cheaper and faster to install than a minisplit. Overall, I'm happy with it and glad we bought it. ... show more

  • Cool Air conditioner
This is a very efficient ac. The air flow is good, it gets really cold. It has a lot of functions and it has a remote control. There is noise but it is an air conditioner. The assembly was easy, you just put the connecting hose in your window and add the window stuffing you need.

  • Value for your money
I bought a refurbished unit for ~$120 and for that price, nothing beats it. It came in functioning amazing and even looked brand new. This unit blows cold and is decently quiet. I cools the room down quick and then will shut off and maintain the temperature when it goes above the threshold. Solid little unit, for the price we paid, and quality, I'd buy another. ... show more

  • Great AC for less
We have a whole house Heat pump but my Daughters room is on the east side with big front window of the house and her room is always 5-6 degree hotter than the house. So I decided to buy this AC for her room. The manual doesn't say much about my scenario. So I closed out the intake and the register for that room and installed this AC unit. it works very good, currently holding the condensation water in a bucket but my plan is to put the pipe outside the window through a small hole in their plastic panel. Window is higher than the AC so I need to take some time to make sure it works. you have to get a hose to connect to the drain, there are two drains, one for summer and one for winter. it is a good idea to buy a plastic tray like the one available for washer with a leak senser. You never know when it will leak and flood your whole carpet. Manual didn't explain much about the disposing of the condensation water, Most American house don't have drain in every room like in other countries, I wonder why. ... show more

  • Great unit for small apartment
I have a small studio like apartment and I have to keep 2 rooms pretty cool because of bunnies. It sometimes cools all 3 rooms ( on a really hot day its not ice cold but it keeps things comfortable for us) If its a really hot day just use it in one room or two maybe and have a fan to circulate the air. The remote is handy and is helpful if I am reading or streaming and dont want to get up. I also love being economical and using the fan only mode. The rooms I use it in are about 12x12 ft each and only a couple of windows with black out curtains. It was easy to install, it isn't the lightest, but its easier than installing a window unit that is just as heavy. ... show more
