Absolute garbage. The nose completely broke off on the first try. We tried glueing it together, but it didn’t matter as there were other issues. One of the propellers only spun sometimes. My daughter charged this overnight only to have it die after 5 minutes. I highly recommend looking at another option. This was a waste of money.

I found some value in this because it does two different things, which makes it more interesting than a standard RC car. In car mode, it drives around like a small remote-control vehicle, and in flight mode, it lifts off like a mini drone. Being able to switch between driving and flying makes it feel more exciting at first, especially for kids who like RC toys and want something a little different. There is definitely a learning curve, though. Driving it is fairly simple, but flying it takes more patience and a lot more open space. It is best used in an area away from trees, furniture, walls, pets, or anything fragile, because it is very easy to bump into things while learning the controls. Once you get the hang of it, the flips and spins are entertaining, and the hybrid design gives it some novelty value. That said, the overall build does feel cheap. The frame is very lightweight, which helps it fly, but it also makes the toy feel less durable than I would like. I would not expect it to hold up well to rough play, hard crashes, or repeated drops. It feels like the kind of toy that needs to be handled carefully if you want it to last. Overall, it is a fun idea and can be entertaining once you learn how to control it, but it does not feel especially sturdy. I would recommend it more as a light-use novelty toy than something built for heavy play. It could still make a fun gift for someone who likes RC cars and drones, as long as expectations are realistic about the durability. Battery life is decent, but nothing amazing.

This is a very neat little drone for kids. My grandson loves it. He has been having fun with it inside the house and outside. It is VERY lightweight and susceptible to light winds. Battery life is fairly low, only about 10 minutes per charge. The charger is pretty difficult to plug in. Nothing in the description I saw tells you you will need some AAA batteries for the controller. So if it is a gift, you will need to get some. So far, it has been pretty durable. It has survived several light crash landings.

My boyfriend was so excited to use this but the batteries were not included for the race car itself and he left the remote control on the charger and the battery for the remote control exploded!! The material on the race car is like styrofoam cheaply made do not recommend save your money, it’s a bummer too because my boyfriend was so excited to play with it but now he can’t grrr

Body material- styrofoam so it can absorb a lot of punishment Body shape-boxy Formula One: it is not good at cutting through wind and sidewinds do push it Battery included - One. I measured the battery and I found and ordered four spare 3.7V 500mAh batteries and they do fit and work. Even though they are the same voltage as the original battery they do seem to need recharging sooner than the original does. Charging cable-one six inch long USB A charging cable. Provide your own charging USB wall plug or use a computer that has a charging USB port. Battery life Flying Outdoor no wind or very light wind–5 minutes continuous or 10 minutes with starts/stops/crashes Flying Indoor no wind–12 to 15 minutes Driving no wind and smooth bare floor-16 to 18 minutes+ Drone battery low indicators: controller will beep continuously and drone green light will flash continuously Controller batteries-requires three AAA batteries (not included). User manual says AA but that is incorrect. Controller battery low indicator–unknown. I guess if drone light is green but drone is unresponsive, check the controller batteries. User manual–4 pages. Tiny print but adequately well written and sufficiently thorough. Range flying- unknown, could not think of a practical way to test this Range driving– the width of ten standard parking spaces Noise-outdoors: loud; indoors: almost deafening Three speeds: low. medium, high Special features: flying flip, driving drift, one touch liftoff button, circling (in flying mode only–not driving) Unexpected limitation: there’s no reverse in driving, there is in flying Emergency stop-is same button as one touch liftoff. User manual says press it one time to make an emergency landing and shutoff but I often had to press it twice. And if I accidentally pressed it three times it wanted to take off again. Cautions Propeller guards–all four propellers have guards to protect them from the side. However the propellers are raised above the guards which means you can easily get your finger cut if you touch the drone from above while the propellers are spinning. There is no return home button. This drone cannot cut through a 4mph wind. If you fly outdoors in a 5 mph wind and you gain too much altitude your drone may get carried far, far away! Do not fly near obstacles such as trees or power lines. Extras-four spare propellers, a small screwdriver, and one spare screw are included Colors available: red, white, purple Can you buy two or more drones and race them? Manufacturer says you can but I did not test this. Conclusion: a lot of fun for an inexpensive mainly indoor toy. Outdoor flying should only be done in the very lightest of winds in a wide open area.
