I bought this maybe a year ago as a temp measure for my husband. He drives a flatbed tractor trailer in the coal fields of West Virginia in the Appalachian mountains on many one lane roads so a good quality CB is a MUST HAVE. I thought he would need an expensive one for it to be good but that hasnt been the case at all. He has moved this one to his new truck even after we could have afforded a more expensive one. Its been a year and so far it hasnt failed him. Good signal strength, clear communication, easy to operate while driving, and works with his BT headset. If there were any thing to complain about he would have already, so I am confident in the 5 star review.

Great little CB. As with any CB, antenna is most important. Paired this to a 4ft Firestik and have no problems. Reasonable range and excellent reception. I have a few other Radioditty devices and all have faired well. Main reason for choosing this model for me was knob control for volumes and squelch. Much quicker adjustments than digital button inputs. The high power feature is true. Increases range slightly with a good antenna - though not legal. You have to activate the HP feature after every power off, so not really an issue. Easy to read display, loud built in speaker with clear sound. Small, but not tiny form factor, is easy to fit in more places. Just make sure you get a quality antenna and mount well with a solid ground connection on antenna. If you don't, no CB will work well. I've talked to others overs 10 miles between us on this one when atmospheric conditions are right and I'm not obstructed. That is in western Tennessee too. Small hills and trees everywhere. I was told it was broadcasting clear and strong even at that range.

Worked very good for a low priced CB. I have it hooked up to the truck's antenna. If I were to use an external antenna, I'm sure reception would be even better.

Works perfectly. Automatic Squelch doesn’t work as well and the Manual mode is easier in my opinion. Build quality is solid and the cooling is not noticeable.

Did not work at all. No channels would come in, nothing went out. Tried 2 different antennas and cables but nothing worked. Not even emergency channel 9. Tried all settings but still nothing. Maybe I got a dud, but going back. Wanted it to work.

I bought this radio hoping to use the PA mode for a speaker on the exterior of my vehicle. Unfortunately what the product description calls a "PA Mode" is not a real PA. Instead once the external speaker is hooked up all of the audio goes to the speaker--not very useful for me to have my CB communications going to the speaker on the outside of my vehicle. I just want audio to go to the external speaker when in PA mode. Since it did not satisfy my requirements I had to return it. But other than the PA Mode issue, the radio seems like a nice very compact CB radio that I would otherwise be happy to use.
