I actually like this Straightener because it is really simple, gets the job done, and it is an affordable price. I have thin hair so it doesn't take much heat or repeatition to get the job done. However, my daughter that has extremely thick hair this Straightener works perfectly on her hair also on the higher heat setting and one piece doesn't have to be done over and over again like most cheap straighteners. It does make beautiful curls also. It is extremely simple, perfect for a starter Straightener, if there is such a thing. IT has a power button and then two temperature control buttons with a digital display, seriously fool proof! It does only have one floating plate, and does have a tiny gap in it like another review states but honestly it didn't make a difference when using it and I didn't even notice it until I read that review. It doesn't snag my or my daughters' hair when using and I find it to glide smoothly. Of course if you don't have a steady hand and don't glide it at the same speed down the length of the piece of hair you are straightening you can get creases, but that has been my experience with every Straightener I have used. Overall, very user friendly. The only downfall for me was the smell when I used it the first few times. I have seen others have mentioned it also. It smells like burning plastic and it did linger in my makeup room for a few hours after I turned it off the first time I used it. I had to go check an hour later and make sure I had turned it off because the smell was still pretty strong (but the door was closed) (Also I do think it has auto turn off just in case you are wondering) However, after I used it for a couple of weeks one day I realized "wow, it doesn't have that burning smell anymore." So not too sure how long it takes to subside, but it does go away. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a simple, affordable Straightener. As for those who are worried about double floating plates that are perfectly even and clamp down on hair at the exact same time that has nothing to do with the outcome for $15, perhaps you are expecting too much out of a straightener.

So I ordered this flat Iron and I must say I think I got ripped off ! Tricked ya ! =) I think I did the ripping off, This product performs above and beyond what I was expecting. For less than $20 I got my money's worth. Think I want to order 3 more just in case something happens to this one that I have =). I'm sooooo In love, I must say this is a huge step up from what I was used to "GoldNHot" flat irons that would always melt on the side, and the plate would crack snagging my hair as I glided through my Hair. The reviews made me get it, I must say that I am a Product Junkie so Seeing all the great reviews I had to see what the hype was about ! An I must say now I know. These Flat Iron go up 410 Degrees, and its Lowest setting is 310 Degrees. It only takes 30 seconds to heat up, You don't need to have it up so high, One pass through your hair should be enough. Now I'm in the process of going natural so I've never used it on me but used it on my natural Little cousin's hair and It Straightened her hair soooo sooo good. After Straighten her long extremely thick hair I noticed the shine it gave her hair, it was nice and soft, shiny, and straight didn't take long to straighten her almost waist length hair. There is an automatic shut off after 60 minutes, which is good for those of us who rush then once we leave the house realize "ooops" I left the flat Iron on !!!! So Now worries there. Soon will try this with my natural hair. So far so good. No Need to go out and get a Chi or a Pricey Flat Iron This does the trick I promise. I'm into hair I even tested this out on some 100% Human Hair Blend, For those of you who aren't familiar with that term, It is a Human hair, and synthetic hair blend of hair. Now this hair Was created on a wig, and if you know anything about Synthetic wigs or hair you know how the tips get all ratty looking right ? This flat Iron Straightened it right on out and I was able to give it a Kim K. Kind of feathered curl, and It flowed nicely and brought the hair back to life. If I told you I paid hundreds of dollars on that hair you wouldn't know that I wasn't telling the truth!I Absolutely recommend this Flat Iron 100 times ! I honestly wasn't sure about this when I first opened it. It looked and felt like really cheap and light plastic, and I was positive I was going to have to return it. I decided to try it out though and was pleasantly surprised by it! It heated up fast and easy (it actually got too hot for me), and I had no issue straightening my hair, which is about waist length. My hair is usually very frizzy, but this really smoothed the frizz away and made it shiny. I've only used it twice, so I will come back and update this review if there are any issues with the product.

I took a gamble ordering this. I'm very particular about my hair tools but my daughter broke my straightener right before a trip I was taking. No big deal, I thought, I'll just go to the store and get another. Couldn't find anything like my old one. (I live in the boonies). Crap. Got right on Amazon and found something similar with next day shipping. So glad I did. This straightener is amazing! I absolutely love it. It heats up fast, it has a cord swivel, it locks closed. My hair is really thin and it knots easily. By the time I get it picked loose, I have severe bed head. I stg, it took me less than 3 minutes to straighten my whole head. My daughter has fine hair but a lot of it. Her ponytails are thick! It took me less than 20 min to do her whole head! It's slim enough to fit anywhere. The temp screen doesn't light up but I can live with that. Would def buy again! (Pic is before and after, if you couldn't tell lol)
