I ordered this because I accidentally dropped my very expensive cordless hair straightener and broke it. Lesson learned not to spend that much money on a hair straightener. I thought I would just live in a pony tail for awhile. Strangely enough right after that I discovered this hair straightener while we were traveling. There was a lady using it in a restroom at a rest stop. No lie! She had really long hair and it was gorgeous as she was styling it. So I asked her what kind it was. She raved about it! I looked it up on Amazon and couldn’t believe the price for such a nice hair straightener. Ordered it and used it as soon as it arrived. It’s amazing! I have really thick stubborn hair and this thing handles like a champ! I love the larger wand because it covers more surface area and reduces the amount of time I spend on my hair. The iron heats up great, and has a lot of heat. But it has one significant flaw, which is the heating plates. The have a gap at the top. When you flat iron your hair, your hair gets stuck in these gaps.

This is going to sound like a paid advertisement but I swear it is not. I had an old Remington straightener that I had for years until it no longer worked. I regrettably did not go with another Remington and literally went through 4 maybe 5 different straightners that all not lasting more than 6 months to a year. So when the last one started to go out on me I immediately looked for this brand. I love my new straigtner even more than my first one and hope it lasts at least half as long as the last one. ... show more
