Purchased this to replace the alternator in my 2014 Chevrolet Camaro 1LT (V6). Replacement was easy - if you get the angle right you don't need to remove the cooling hoses as recommended by many guides. It seems to be working perfect.

9 months installed, it stopped working. Took it out to replace it and noticed it was melted and the wire harness was ruined. Do not buy if you care about your vehicle.

Really can't tell you if this is a good product or not. it looks good but they have the wrong product in the wrong box. 2 different housings... one has a mounting tab for transmissions line ... and one doesn't. This is my 2nd WRONG alternator. The other trouble has to do with Amazon. They give me a gift certificate instead of crediting my card. If it keeps going this way my card will be maxed out but I'll have an Amazon balance that will be off the charts. I think this is my last one, dont want to spend $1000 on an alternator. ... show more
