It's Safety First with the Rogz Highly Reflective Utility Range, which is both the black tie and the 4x4 of the Rogz range. Timeless and classic, hardy but cool. Never shaken - or stirred. The 3/4" Fanbelt Side-Release Dog Collar with its woven reflective threads stitched into high quality webbing is a rock solid range for those dogs that have a taste for the better things in life and an appreciation of the classics. Straight-forward and durable with ultimate night time visibility, animal activists from around the Globe agree that if Lassie had been wearing a Fanbelt collar, she wouldn't have been lost in the first place. Standard features include a locking Buckle, the ROG-LOC, the Fort Knox of side release buckles, which ensures the buckle stays fastened even during the most boisterous games; Ergonomic, contoured plastic components ensuring that every Rogz collar fits as snug as a pug in a rug; The Low Load Technology reduces the load on the buckle through a cleverly positioned load ring and Custom-branded die cast ring (no welding) with electroplated chrome for a rust, tarnish free finish. All joins are box stitched for extra strength and a quality finish. Note that this range needs to be turned inside out when operating in stealth mode as the reflective stitching is only on the one side. The 3/4" Fanbelt collar adjusts for a neck size of 13-22". It's suitable for Dalmation, Spaniel, Doberman, Boxer and similar sized breeds. Locking Side Release Buckle, the Rogz-Loc, makes these buckles completely dog-paw resistant. For added security the Low Load Technology (LLT) reduces the load on the buckle. Buckle-Breaking strength tested at 295lbs on a direct pull and 515lbs through the Low Load Technology.

Just thought it funny, my dog washers broke my last one. And because of that, I have now purchased my second of these collars. She didn't break it by cracking or breaking or degrading any of the pieces; it's too tough for that. She broke it by forcing the clasp--and I mean forcing--together backwards. The plastic clasp is meant to go together without a mobius twist in the collar. She obviously felt rushed or something. I never really berated her for it. It was an easy replacement through Amazon. But to this day, that old one will not come apart. It is like someone melded the two pieces--and these are the plastic pieces--together; they are really tough. I was just lucky I could still slip the old collar over my dog's head. I would have been challenged to saw it off without possibly harming my pooch. Did I mention this is one tough-made collar? It takes a little getting used to how it loops around and through, but once you figure it out, it actually makes a lot of sense. I would recommend taking a close look at it when you first get it, before you rush to unclasp it. My only real criticism of the product is the reflective portion. It is just two white--but thick--threads sewn around the collar. It would have been ideal if the entire collar reflected light, but I would not have relied on it even if it had, so no lost stars. Collars can be covered by ears, a turned head, or long fur, so I got my buddy a reflective vest for nighttime walks instead. I highly recommend this collar. Your leash (or your dog) is more likely to break than this dog collar. ... show more

I have 12 goldens and everyone of them has a utility reflective Rogz collar. There are several reasons why I love this collar, durability, quality nylon, good color selection, but most importantly is the "locking" feature. It saved my youngest girl's life today! My dogs have a bad habit of grabbing each other by their collars and dragging each other around the yard. Unfortunately, today the one doing the dragging got her teeth stuck in the collar and began twisting in a panic. The locking mechanism was in the "off" for this very reason so the collar released when the two panicked freeing both of them!!!!!!! One of my puppy families lost one of the two puppies they bought from me two years ago in this exact same scenario with a collar that did not have the option to lock or unlock. The puppy with the tooth stuck in the collar twisted until it choked the other puppy to death, literally. It happened in just a couple of minutes while the owner had run inside. Since that day I went in search of a safer collar to use myself but also to recommend to my buyers. I found this Rogz collar, bought a couple, and after a few real world tests, loved it and ordered 10 more! I love the variety of colors (although they do fade pretty quickly), and the variety of patterns. I am online tonight to order a few more for some new puppies I am importing over the next few months. One more thing, I love the reflective strip on the collars especially because we are way out in the country without street lights so it makes seeing them much easier when scanning with a flashlight at night. ... show more

    • Best Year Round Classy Comfort Collar For Any Dog

I bought the medium sized one for my puppy and I loved it so much that as he grew bigger I knew I had to get the large size. What I didn't realize is that this large size is even cooler than the medium size! It has a neat way of buckling to close so that it is stronger and must be more comfortable for your dog. Look real close and the photos and you can see that the collar clip goes through the metal ring to clip. While this is a slight more of a hassle and take a little more time to put on and take off (I never put my dog in the kennel with a collar on), the peace of mind of how secure and safe this is for a buckle collar is well worth it to me. I have a very strong Vizsla and this is the only collar I plan to ever use for him other than I think I will eventually buy a really nice leather collar with a metal clip as well, but for a plastic buckle clip this is the only one I would want to use long term. I like getting holiday collars for my dog from Up Country (they have the coolest designs), but for year round I like this one as it is simple and yet very classy, strong and comfortable and the reflective lines make it very visible at night for safety.     • Dissapointing compared to older version

Just bought a new collar for our new dog and of course I had to go with Rogz as I loved the collars I'd previously purchased. I'm disappointed to say they've changed a few things and IMO not in a good way. The new version: -Tiny thing ring that barely fits larger leashes. -Collar material is thinner -Plastic pieces including buckle feel/look cheaper than old version -collar no longer wraps around itself through the loop to fasten. -the advertised Low Load Tech ring in the item description is not present in the new version of the collar either. The ring is sewn in before the buckle and is now shaped so you can no longer pass the other end of the collar through the ring. I can't say this last one makes the new version an inferior product but I preferred the old version where you ran the collar back through the ring before connecting it into the buckle. All in all its a good collar and I'll probably still go with rogz, but I am disappointed with the changes. The only reason I'm replacing the old collar is because it was on my short haired dog and after 6 or 7 years its lost most of its bright orange color. It's important to have the hunter orange color just in case the dogs get loose during deer season. ... show more
