Description

600 pound capacity with a 3.1:1 ratio this winch is zinc plated for exceptional corrosion resistance. Gears are constructed of high carbon SAE 1050 steel to resist corrosion and last longer. Full-length drum bushing and oil impregnated shaft bushings minimize maintenance. Comfort grip handle makes cranking easier. Designed to be used with 36’ x 1/4” rope or a 15’ x 2” strap.

    • Good winch for a great price
Solid construction, easy operation, well designed, what's not to love? I bought this winch to crank my 17' sea kayak up to the garage ceiling, and I don't have a single complaint about it. It handles the load just fine and is easy to crank. I really can't believe this is as good of a product as it is for the price, I was honestly expecting this to be a cheap 'proof of concept' winch that I would replace with a higher dollar one once I was sure everything was actually going to fit but now I'm planning on just buying a few more of these bad boys. (I had 3 sea kayaks and an SUV cramped in a single car garage so there was some complicated redirects, pulleys and custom support brackets involved.) This was a great find. I haven’t tested it with a 600 lb load but I’ve load tested it with about 250-300 lbs and it cranks nice and easy. Been using it now for about 8 months. Pros- - Solid construction - easy operation -well designed -Very low price -Good selection of mounting holes on the body for different applications Cons- None so far What I can’t say about it: - It’s mounted in a garage so I don’t know how it would hold up to weather -I haven’t had anything close to a 600 lbs load on it so I don’t know how it handles near the max load ... show more

I own a Hobie Outback Kayak that weight 85 pounds and this winch works great for my pulley system. Easy to install and great quality. Fully recommend!

These are great, heavy-duty winches. They do the job well. The only think I find wrong...and the only reason they don't get 5 stars, is because they take forever to crank any appreciable length of cable or rope. My application is to crank my bike to the ceiling of my garage...and it takes almost 200 cranks to get the bike to the ceiling...which is only about 12 feet. That's too long. ... show more

these are solid units, with a screw down plate to tie the cable into the drum spool making the tie in fast and secure. the handle is solid, the gears work like a clock with smooth action. i bought two, otherwise i would have already ordered another one. i will buy this again should i need to do that with my projects. ... show more
